It got hot just like all ram brand new they seem to have high temps at first and level out not to discourage but the the non finned certified server ram did the same thing when I got it I dont see the fins dissipating heat any different out the gate I made this purchase considering longevity however my server ram ran fine for months with no issues except for an occasional need to be reseated.
