The product automatically does to sleep like most scales without a dedicated on off button, however the amount of time it takes for this to happen is far too short. Frequently while cooking and you have ‘tared’ something and are maybe retrieving something it’ll shut off and you’ll lose your tare. The only problem with them is when cleaning and polishing them if you are too vigorous the weight reading jams and won’t go off!
