9 to 5 - The 25th Anniversary Edition DVD

This is one of my favorite movies of all time...and for those of you who loved the original, the 25th Anniversary Edition DVD is a must have for your movie collection! It contains so much additional material, such as the "Gag" reel containing bloopers from the original filming, a salute to the one of the original writers, and the director of the film Colin Higgins (also the writer/director of classics such as "Harold and Maude"), interviews with the stars of the film and their remembrances of the filming, and the neatest feature of all...the ability to watch the film in a standard format, (remastered in crisp clean video and audio) or with an overlay of commentary of the movie by Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, and Dolly Parton. Its just like sitting in the movie theatre with all three and chatting and giggling along with them - great feature!

Superstar cast OMG Parton Fonda Tomlin......

Who is more stunning than Jane Fonda? OK Dolly Parton. And Lily Tomlin is a bonus! The only thing that could have possibly improved this movie would be a part for Cher! It's funny in a 'I love Lucy' kind of innocent comedy way. Sweet and silly and now nostalgic. Lily Tomlin is always funny, Dolly is always georgeous (classic 80's Dolly) and sweet, and Jane Fonda is a huge star playing a mousey funny character which is different from other big roles she had done up until then. It's a great pleasure to watch these iconic ladies anytime, especially in this fun quirky film. God bless them all.Read full review...

fighting sexism with humor, a winning combination

I bought the video of "9 to 5" because I had taken my teenagers to see the play in our local theater. I remembered enjoying the movie and I wanted them to see the original film on which the play was based. We enjoyed the humor and the extra effects a movie production was able to provide. The productions also had a great message, especially for my son who has difficulty respecting his sisters. Women are capable of great things if given the opportunity. MY whole family and neighbor all liked the humorous work situations in the film. The situations are just over the top and crazy funny. A favorite at our evening TV film event.
