The book on the Chinese Army, though dated, provides the reader an excellent introduction into the super-secret Chinese Army. It provides a the introduction necessary for the student to explore other areas of the Chinese Army.

The Chinese have been especially secretive about the military. What one sees on TV or in public parades or disasters is merely the tip of the iceberg to this enormous military complex. The reader is provided a window into its workings and whets one's appetite to explore the depth and scope of its military complex.

The draw back is that it is dated, but it is important to keep this in mind as news of the military expanding is secretly being exposed.Read full review...
