Basic operation training
I use A-Zoom snap caps in 38 Special and 357 Magnum revolvers to ease wear and tear on firing pin mechanisms during laser trainer dry fire. I didn't hesitate to add these 20gauge snap caps to do dry fire training with a tactical pump shotgun. There's a learning curve involving load, slide release button, pump/chamber, aiming, safety release, trigger, fire, eject, repeat that needs practice to become predictable and consistent. I've included a green laser to aid in target acquisition. The snap caps go through the cycle with no jams, lockups, or residue buildup. Live range time using shells at $1 to $2 each are still a necessary part of the training, but A-Zoom snap caps are the most economical way for me to work on a home defense routine.
