They work but takes patience to get there.
This is my second set of sensors. I use them on my travel trailer, gas grill, generator tank. They do require careful placement in order to function and it takes a few minutes for them to start reading after the tank is stable. I've read to use Vaseline on the rubber pad to aid in accuracy HOWEVER I think that product will deteriorate the rubber as that is a petroleum product. Instead, I used waterproof plumbers grease or silicone based valve grease. Neither of them will affect the rubber or plastic parts. Both sensors in this package had dead batteries, so if it isn't transmitting, check or replace the battery. Overall, I'm pleased with the operation even though they take a bit of tweaking to get it right. I mark the bottom of my tanks with a sharpie marker outline of the sensor position to make it easy to reinstall after I have the tank refilled.Read full review

Unreliable
First of all if you buy one of these from ebay beware. All of these come from USA Import duties will be another £36 on top of anything you pay for the item. The system is in two parts , a small monitor and also a phone app.
Placing of the sensors is easy they even supply rubber buffers to stop the sensors hitting the floor.
It is really designed for large propane tanks the smallest size listed being 20lbs. A standard uk size is 6 kg (13lbs) and even 2 kg for boats. To get round this you can enter a figure in inches as a custom size. I am not sure if that then relays this to the monitor or not as it made no difference when I changed it.
There is a low alarm which seems a great idea only when you a re driving and the tanks slosh around you can get false alarms.
I have not tested this enough to know how accurate it is but I have one tank that doesn't have much left in it and it displays empty sometimes and 11 % another
In theory its a great idea how well it works for accuracy of small tanks is debatableRead full review

No more wondering
I mounted display near other monitors in RV, easy to see status of propane tanks. No more having to take tank hold down loose to check. Works great, nice to be able to use phone, but will probably use wall mount more to check on them.Read full review

MTS RV Tank Check works well.
Tank Check is easy to install and operate. Works as advertised so far. Clearance beneath propane tanks is very limited, so it would be a good idea to remove the sensors whenever you take the tanks to be refilled. That way, the sensors can not be accidentally crushed if the tank is set down on soft dirt, sand, rocks, etc. The set comes with six small aluminum stand-off feet for the bottom of the tanks if needed for more clearance. However, the feet are press-fit and may be easily knocked off. Drilling a hole through them and the tank base ring for a nut and bolt would make the feet permanent.Read full review

does exactly what you expect
Works like a charm, the only drawback i can see is that the stationary monitor unit
has a fixed US type of gas bottle calibrated.
but you can set the size in the phone app so thats OK
and of course the shipping cost to europe is outrageus
the shipping cost to sweden is greater than the unit itself!
but i like it anyway and there is not any competition pricewise as of now(what i know of)Read full review

Perfect!
Just what I was looking for. The product was easy to set up and works exactly as intended. I have 20lb tanks one was empty and the other was full, it read it correctly.

Pricey but convenient.
These sensors are a bit expensive but I think that for the convenience they’re worth the price. They work very well in conjunction with the phone app. The small monitor is calibrated for 20lb tanks and in not accurate with 30lb or larger tanks. The phone app allows you to set the tank size and is quite accurate.Read full review

Nice to see levels but touchy placement
It's nice to see the level of my tanks. Before we just had wait til they were out. Now with this setup it warns me before its out. The only issue I have had is it's placement is touchy. So I have to put them on I have to move it a couple times to get it to read correct.Read full review

No more guessing on LP Level
These things work spot on. Love that I can tell how much lp I have left with a push of a button. No more taking off the tank, lifting it, shaking it, and deciding if it was empty or not

Could easily be better
Basically it works fine. The problem is that the product is slightly thicker than the space available so they provide 3 rubber spacers. They space fine but they fall off all the damn time they make the product a complete PIA to work with especially when the tanks are heavy and need to fit into a restricted space. There are aluminum spacers available but they don't fit well (they fall off too) and are very expensive. ($15 for 4).Read full review
