If you are looking at these bolts, you already know ARP fasteners are of the highest quality. Although overkill for a SBC intake manifold, the fit and finish is worth it. The reduced drive size on the head of the bolt will be handy for some tight applications.
Things to consider; these bolts are shorter than other SBC intake manifold bolts I have removed before. For race engines or dressed engines that do not have mount brackets on the intake, bolt length should not be an issue. For the rest of us, if you have say a TH350 kick down cable mount bracket, be aware and maybe do some thickness measurements before purchasing. This was my situation with an Edelbrock Performer EPS and Edelbrock gaskets, with a TH350 kick down bracket. This extra thickness left the bolt engagement with the cylinder head approx flush with bolt hole, not two threads past as generally desired with fasteners.
Summary, if you are going to stack any bracket under these bolts, beware of your thread engagement, this could be especially critical if you have aluminium heads.Read full review...
