I was sceptical at first. I never dealt with the ASRock brand. My Asus M5A97 motherboard was beginning to fail, and wanted something quick. This board is great.

I should have heeded the negative reviews posted on newegg for this board. This motherboard has problems. I had a very difficult time getting it to power on- some form of poor connection either internal to the circuit board, the memory slots or CPU socket. By just touching the memory module or CPU fan the board would power up. A slight bump to the computer case caused it to shut down. I have managed to get it operating and it seems to perform OK, but I'm not sure for how long. I would not recommend this motherboard to anyone.Read full review...

What A Deal!

This motherboard worked right out of the box with my CPU. I only wish it had a PATA connection on the motherboard so I could still use some rarely used legacy drives I have.

Good motherboard with lots of expansion slots

I purchased this motherboard because my computer stopped booting up. I wasn't sure whether it was the cpu (AMD Phenom II X4 965) or the motherboard. As it turned out, it was the motherboard that was bad. This is upgradeable to FX cpu's and uses 1600 DDR3 ram. It has overclocking ability for both cpu and ram and many other features.

Great board when you need to update fast

My work station died I needed a replacement fast. I had a athlon II x640 cpu this motherboard could use what I had...Both cpu and ram....saved me. Since then updated the cpu to a FX 6 core...32 gigs of ram...it rocks....love the boardRead full review...

decent board , there are better but cost more $$.

Seemed a little flaky at first , not booting on restarting , but
after changing my harddrive to another one i have it seems fine.
Lots of options in the software , easy overclocker ,not reallyr>impressed with any of the X fast options .
Does have a core unlocker for older phenon 2 users.
Full size atx board with plenty of slots , ran my 6100
