Non-branded chargers can have nonstandard electrical discharges that can cause major malfunctions in laptops (especially touchpads). Spring the extra money for the name-brand chargers; it's absolutely worth it. I previously got a no-name charger and nearly spent more than $200 attempting to fix it. Luckily, I figured out the problem before it got to that stage, but it still meant the money I spent on the crappy charger was wasted.
