A Good Rut Hunting Book
This hardcover 264 page book edited by Gerald Bethge is a great read for honing your Rut Hunting techniques. What I especially like are the 27 mini chapters with each chapter written by some of the best know deer hunters around, such as; Greg Miller, Gary Clancy, John Weiss, Bill Vaznis, Peter Fiduccia, etc..
So you are getting much more than just one expert's opinion when reading this book. The chapters cover essential topics like: stalking the Rut, the phases of the Rut, a guide to buck calling during the Rut, how to hunt rubs, scent strategies for the Rut, some hot Rut traps, strategies for rutting bucks, buck clicking, bad weather rutters, and so much more. Great Resource.
Great resource, a lot of great info that can easily be applied to everyday hunting situations. I read this book and i was able to apply the info i read out hunting and it was amazing to see how the stuff I was reading was what I was seeing out in the field.Read full review...
