I think Alice Starmore's designs are amazing. So much beautiful colour and style. I find her instructions good and her charts are really simple to read. I enjoy reading the background to Fair Isle, the history and the tradition about which Alice is so knowledgable. Old fashionec

I liked reading the book which had a chapter about fairisle and the fairisle tradition. It did explain how to knit fairisle but not in a way that would suit somebody new to it. The patterns included in the book were rather old fashioned . None of them were for a yoked sweater ... good resource book if you are interested in fairisle knitting.Read full review...
