Wanted to like it more.
Always liked the All Saints. They were the cooler version of the Spice Girls and actually had some musical talent. By the time of their greatest track "Pure Shores" their ascendency seemed assured. Unfortunately they imploded and a third album wasn't to be until far too late after the fact.
Nostalgia was my main reason for getting this album. Unfortunately it is a strangely souless affair. None of the remixes bring anything fresh to the tracks and in fact take a lot of the charm of them away. This is a strange thing to say given that Timbaland remixes the All Saints version of "Lady Marmalade".
A shame as I really was in the mood for a blast from the past. Maybe if tracks from their second album "Saints & Sinners" had been included it might have picked things up.Read full review...
Stick to the original !
The original self titled album was great, this is a lame attempt to milk it just a bit more. Most tracks don't even resemble the originals, very poor.
Avoid it, unless you need a coaster for your coffee table.Read full review...
