All-Star Baseball 2005 for Xbox - "Field of Dreams"
This is the only baseball game for Xbox that I will EVER play. I'm now on my second copy. First disc lasted 3 years.
Controls are extremely easy and become almost second nature. Graphics are exceptional, except for the problem encountered when viewing home runs from certain angles - the area where the ball is (outside of the park) is sometimes not visible. Most times there is a home run it is actually quite realistic - the outfielder just stands their and kicks around the dirt.
What's great is the pre-programmed players - dozens of hall of famers, from Tom Seaver to Bob Feller to Eddie Mathews. Sadly, the big names are absent - Ruth, Cobb, Mantle. Luckily, the great player editor allows you to create them yourself. As of now I have pretty much recreated members of almost the entire hall of fame. And characteristics of players are changeable - make them choke up on the bat, wear their socks high, you name it.
There's nothing like relaxing on a Sunday and stepping into your own little field of dreams. Earlier today I worked a pitching duel between Warren Spahn and Bob Gibson that went scoreless into the 8th. Not your average video game baseball here.
Also exceptional are the amazing recreations of historic ballparks - from Shibe, Ebbets, and Forbes, to the Baker Bowl and the Polo Grounds. They're all there.Read full review...
All Star Baseball 2005 (x-box)
This game is exciting, fun, easy to understand & learn. It had many different varieties of levels and can be played with one to four people. I loved it.
Cool game, but not the easiest
Great gameplay! The controls can be confusing at times though. 4 different ways to hit the ball is a cool thing.
Hard to find item
Product is great just what I expected.It lives up to it's expectations. I use it all the time with much enjoyment. I bought this product because I like it very much
