A great purchase.

I had a great experience with Amityville III. It's a reasonably good movie on a quality DVD. The seller was efficient and quick in sending it to me. It's good to see actors like Meg Ryan in there early performance. The story about another family living in the house. They like the families in the other two movies get tormented by the demons within the house until they discover the well in the basement that turns out to be the portal to hell in which a demon jumps out of and destroys the house. Errr...what the hell just happened

Having decided with my partner that we had not seen the Amityville Horrors on the telly for a while (I ain't intrested in re-makes, they're just plain awful) we decided to buy the whole 4 range of Amityville horrors, from the classic of no. 1 to no. 4.
Having watched all 4 now I can safely say this is one of the worst Amityville's of the 4.
It is not like the other 3, this one was made for 3D and this of course is probably what they were aiming for rather than making a qulaity horror film with a good storyline.
That being said, it doesn't really get started at all. There were times I was going in and out of the film and noth having a clue what is going on. Not to mention the comedic poltergeist activity towards the end. It is meant to be horror, on comedy involved, but try not laughing, I beg you, you won't do it.
This is why I didn't rate it "poor" as it has it's moments of laughter when it is not meant to be which I 'spose is a little comic relief.
So buy this film on the basis of how cheesy poor it is and don't exepct on your edge horror.Read full review...

this is a brilliant dvd to watch,even though it is old it is much better than some up to date movies.

i am a huge fan of Classic Horror this film is brilliant worth the buy and its a film you watch more than once

Not as scary as the first 2!

I didn't think this film were as scary as the first two, but then I suppose as the first two were allegedly based on true facts, that made them more scary to start with! This is still a good, creepy film though and definately worth watching.Read full review...
