Perfect upgrade
This is a total drop in part. It fixes what Smith and Wesson screwed up and only takes 5 minutes and a slotted screwdriver. If you are getting light strikes with a Model 10, try this first.

Waste of money for rimfire
It may work for centerfire revolver but for rimfire it is will be as good or bad as the stock firing pin because the length is the same and the protruding part will be the same. Only the point of impact is reduced because the tip is pointed. I replaced the stock pin with this one and still had light primer strikes.
Only the S&W extended firing pin from MidwayUSA and the correct tension screw provided the solution I was looking for. I should have saved 15 bucks and bought the extended pin in the first place.
Just some thoughts for those with rimfire revolvers looking to resolve light primer strikes which are common with such revolvers.Read full review

Extends factory firing pin .018". A must if you install a light mainspring. Install is simple and less than a minute after sideplate removal. Apex products and their tutorials on-line are excellent.

Improving K frame ignition with little effort or cost.

Excellent performance firing pin for anyone that has a custom tuned or light action and doesn't want light primer strikes. Positive firing pin strikes.
