Incredible! Came exactly as described.

Alright! So I purchased this refurbished 2009 Macbook Pro. I was sort of nervous since I've read reviews from people (with other buyers of course) saying that they "got what they paid for" and described their products as throwing their money in the trash. However, I found it to be the exact opposite when my product was delivered to the door. It has a few blemishes on its exterior (such as minor scratches and dents) and you could tell it has been previously owned, but it works like it's brand new! I was super satisfied that this product came with everything the seller described and it works perfectly.

The only thing I was displeased with was the quick drainage of power; It only took a few hours to completely use up the battery, but I've found ways to preserve its life for longer than I timed it for. Not to mention I was extremely displeased since I discovered that certain games/programs I wanted to download couldn't function properly or install because of my El Capitan software (Fortnite and iMovie). However, I found a way to download iMovie and have other games to play. If that doesn't make it simplified, I mostly got this laptop for mainly entertainment purchases and for use at home, but I love my product! I feel like it is also a great laptop for me to do school work with (I'm a junior in high school, but we do a lot of technology related assignments) since it functions so perfectly.

I think it takes a little to long to charge up to full power, but I assume it's me being a little bit impatient (my Samsung Chromebook charges to 100% much faster), but I find this product to be overall an amazing purchase! Just make sure to not do something like myself and purchase the wrong size and model case! The model number is on the bottom of the computer and the size is in the "About this Mac" tab.

Also a fantastic gift and purchase! It's not exactly lightweight, but not heavy either. If you're interested in something more portable, I'd highly suggest the Macbook Air instead.

Fantastic! Can' beat the price for what you get! Completely satisfied!

I have to say that my transition from PC to Mac has been wonderful! I was very skeptical about buying a refurbished product and therefore I bought max insurance. So far I have not needed it but its nice to know its there. The Apple MacBook Pro is perfect. Just the right size, easy to use and worth every penny. I did a lot of research before making the switch and found that overall Apple MacBooks rank the highest in all areas. I am a web surfer and a homeschool Mom. I have not used the MacBook to it's potential due to it being summer. However, school starts in two weeks and my 10 year old is excited about using it to do his own school research. Now I have a laptop light enough to fit in my school bag for his Tuesday classes.Read full review...

Greta computer. used PC's all my life but I will never go back after this

I bought this for college. I like it because it's alot faster.
Just as easy to use as a PC. So I don't understand why someone would pick a PC if they had a choice. Like, something that easy to use but gets viruses or something that runs fast, is easy to use, looks cooler (opinionated I guess), and doesn't get viruses: which would you pick?
RIP steve jobs, buy one in his memory

Great laptop hands down. If you want a PC, buy a PC!

I love the Macbook Pro 13". I was an avid PC user years ago, and I understand that PC's give the user the ability to overclock their intel chips to 50GHz and play video games in 7D (I'm exaggerating, lol, but that's how people sound when they discuss PC's), and I also understand that you can build a much faster PC for way less than the cost of a Macbook...

My advice to people who say that is: THEN BUY A PC. I can say that I've never had a problem with my Macbook. I'm not sure what the exact reason is, but pirates (or whatever they're called) don't seem to make viruses and malware that attack Linux based Macs like they do Dos based PC's. Also, in my opinion, Mac OS X is waaay more stable than any Windows OS (although Windows has been doing better).

Macbooks are pricey, yes, but you're getting a fast computer and an aesthetically pleasing/durable one. My previous Macbook before this one lasted me 3 years with not a single problem. I can't say the same for my PC laptops/desktops before that. Maybe my experience is an isolated one *shrug* but I haven't heard any unbiased person ever say that they were unsatisfied with their Macbook after buying one (assuming that the Macbook didn't have issues prior to its purchase).

It's Awesome

This little laptop has it all. A blazing fast 2.53 Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB of RAM to run multiple applications without slowing the computer down, and a massive hard drive (this model comes with a 250GB Hard Drive, but the model I purchased had an upgraded 500GB). The precision aluminum unibody design makes the laptop look like a modern piece of art. The screen has a glass top over it, so you won't have to worry about those nasty push marks that alot of the previous generation MacBook Pro's had (this is from the user putting his or her finger on the screen and pushing down while following or reading some message of sorts on the computer).

Another great feature is the ability to partition the hard drive and run Windows on the laptop. On startup, choose which operating system you want, and it will load it. I currently have Mac OS and Windows 7 all on the same laptop. You can't do that with a PC laptop, it simply will not run Mac operating system.

All in all for the price, your getting two computers in one. Hook it up to an Apple Display, and you have a laptop and a desktop all on one. I highly recommend Apple products for anyone who is looking for a powerful yet flexible computer.

awesome description, no original charger

I bought it Mac Book because I really needed one for college work as well as daily use. I think apple's produces have good guarantee, so i bought this one which matched my wanted in laptop and which I was able to afford. The laptop comes with a lot of great apps and it is totally cool except the charger which along with it is not an apple charger. However, it doesn't state on the info or anywhere. If they mentioned that, I wouldn't have bidden it. Otherwise, it's a pretty nice laptop.Read full review...

This is a very good purchase!

I was a little skeptical about buying a used MacBook and spending so much and then not having it work. This was a good purchase it works great. I ordered it Thursday and got it Monday! I absolutely love it! I'm going into my senior year in high school and will be going to college soon! This was a great purchase. Had a little scuffs here and there but works like brand new! I love it! Thanks!Read full review...

Love it!

At first I was skeptical to buy a refurbished macbook because i thought there would be problems later on, but I've had my macbook pro for a couple months now and I absolutely love it. I take care of it like it's my baby to be honest. If you're second guessing buying one, you might as well stop! This is definitely something you won't regret buying and you can't beat the price!Read full review...

13- and 17-inch MacBook Pros

I guess the big reckoning is that after you get into the Mac, and the Mac way of doing things, and THEN go back and use your Windows machine after a few months of not using it, you can't imagine how you ever spend all those years without it.
Now, with so many programs working so well with the iPhone and the iPad, it is even more cut-and-dry about sticking with the Mac OS.
Even though the 13-inch is more portable and a great machine, the 17-inch MacBook Pro is the way to go. It's a real spoiler.
