Works perfectly so far.
I had over 5 hours use from first charge. This lasts just as long as I ever had from the original Mac battery.
At this price I would be surprised if is a genuine Apple branded battery but don't let that put you off. You wouldn't notice from looking at it. The external appearance and connector seems good quality.
Hopefully, I will be just as satisfied after using over a longer time.
Installation was simple. Some people may find removing the old battery difficult but mine came out easily. There are plenty of videos on Youtube that can show how to do this. Just take your time.

The battery works, was easy to install, however the battery life is terrible. It maybe lasts 3.5 hours under "normal" use when the original would last 7-8 hours. Not worth it, don't buy it. Find an OEM one. Read full review...

Great Battery with a few Quirks
At first the battery would go from around 40% to 7% and it would be on 7% for awhile before it died. After a few day going from daed to fully charged, I'm guessing it calibrated the battery because now it properly displays the % all the way down to 7% and it works well.
The only odd thing is it doesn't go below 7% it will sit there until the indicator goes red and dies shortly after. I don't know why it won't go all the way down to 1% and it also doesn't go to sleep when the power is low, it dies and has to restart when I plug it in. I had read all the warnings online with regard to Apple making in impossible to replace a Macbook Pro Retina battery. Thanx to some hackers on YouTube, it actually is not that daunting of a task. You MUST have a certain comfort level tearing down a laptop, but the process was very straightforward. This battery has proven to be excellent, great battery life. Installation
Worked for my 2014.5 MacBook Pro 15" Retina A1398. Used fishing line to cut the old adhesive along with using the pry tool. Removed the adhesive off the new battery before installing to make a battery swap much easier next time. Had to cut a piece of foam to fit between the battery and the case to prevent the battery from having any wiggle room. All worked great. Battery holds charge for 5+ hours now.Read full review...

Good quality battery
Update: Doesn't look original due to sticker and printing. This looks to be a decent battery. The battery didn't look new out of the box, but the battery reports greater than designed capacity and 0 charge cycles so I'll believe it. It appears the battery was disassembled out of another top case assembly, which I suppose is a good thing because the genuine ones come glued to a top case. Some of the glue/tape on the bottom of the battery was not really sticky anymore near the edges because dust/dirt/etc was stuck to the adhesive, but this wasn't a huge issue. Again, there's a lot of signs that this was removed from a top case, though the cells aren't too dented or anything so I'd still trust them. I bought this March 2019 and the battery says it was manufactured in May 2016.
Battery works fine, 8700mAh - 8390mAh on first cycle, will update upon further testing. Runtime appears consistent with capacity.
The included screwdrivers are of the correct size and worked fine. However, you will probably want to find some stiff, thin plastic and cut it into a wide-ish strip with a point on the end, slather a little bit of cooking oil on the strip, and slide/wiggle it (requires lots of force) under the old battery to remove. Clean up the oil and old glue with rubbing alcohol before you install the new one so it sticks.Read full review...

Great deal, almost plug and play
Attention: Please look closely at the location of the connection pigtail, because on my particular laptop, it was offset to the side, which you won't know until you take it apart. I had to modify the wire length to get it to plug in, however this wan't difficult. Other than that, it went in easily and had all the tools I needed included. Didn't even need to reset the controller, just started it up and it has detected the battery normally since. Battery A1494, perfect comparable with MacBook Pro Late 2013. When I received and install is was charged to 41%. I full charge it to 100%, and than disconnect cable, and did my ordinary work with view and edit pictures, watch videos, surf internet... Most likely genuine OEM part - great quality!
Looks just like an original. After 2 cycles it gives 8361 mAh which is 99% of the designed capacity. The battery is most likely genuine OEM part.
Switching is timely (1-2h) but using the (acetone + string cutting) method it`s relatively easy and safe. You just have to be patient with ungluing the old battery.
Let it charge over night and then drain it completely so that it calibrates itself and shows the correct capacity.
