Great Phone

I purchased this phone for my father and it seems to be working great. He is still getting used to the smartphone, but for him the iphone 4 is all he needs. The battery life has been ok. Nothing great but can make it through the day. Great purchase and I would recommend. Read full review...

The package is not original

I bought an iPhone 4 but the box is for iPhone 4s. All accessories are not original. Scratch on screen. Rear camera doesn’t work properly. Not a 100% brand new sealed phone at all.

Apple to improve the IPhone battery life and it will be the perfect phone!

I bought this phone because my blackberry curve was difficult for me to type on the small keyboard and it was heavy weighted and not comfortable in my hand. The screen was cracked and my sons said that Mom had to get with it and get an iphone. I love this new iPhone 4S as it is very user friendly and easy for me to use in all respects. This phone needs to improve battery life. I did notice that with my blackberry, my emails automatically downloaded and I was notified immediately that I had messages whereas with the IPhone, they do not appear immediately when my phone is just turned on but eventually do or I have to click to download them. I really enjoy the eBay app! It is great and I love the sound of cash like winning in a casino, when one of my items is bought and paid for! Very fun and positive. I would buy it again for sure!Read full review...

Great Phone.... Over priced for a 3G or 2G Unlocked Network Device....

Features
This phone is great when it comes to features, there is nothing that I use that I have not been able to do with this phone. It's sleek design assist in making this an overall good woman with a nice ass. Great Phone....

Ease of Use
When it comes to ease of use, I don't believe in manuals and for someone who knows how to adapt this is more of a visual learning environment. You pick the application you want to use and use it, if you dont have the applications you want you download them. If you want to hear music you hit the ipod app. You want to browse, you hit the safari app. This is one of the easiest phones to use with great big numbers and app like buttons. Great for the not so techy and the lab rat....

Battery Life
Well I wish I could give the extended battery a 5 star rating but in my experience the battery would last approx 8 hours in standby and 2hr while in use. Which for me is horrible because I enjoy my mobility and was stuck near an outlet everytime I got addicted to an application....

Mula $
Ranging from $480 - $650 unlocked is a little hectic. It's the most expensive mobile cellular 3G Device on the market, if it was as fast as the 4G android models the price would be fit but because of the lack of 4G, this model should be about $100 cheaper than what it's selling for.

Up to u

Apple’s latest is always the greatest – you have to give them that. Sometimes it seems they put less effort into making it than in letting people know they did. But with the Apple iPhone 4, they were obviously hard at work. The 4th generation iPhone has an all new look, new feel and plenty of new skill. We already caught a glimpse of the iOS4. But there’s much more: a 1GHz chip, two cameras, HD video and of course the Retina display – the highest-res screen we’ve seen so far on a GSM phone.Surely there are still enough blank spots on the feature list but that’s Apple and its iPhone. Compromises are being made in every phone out there anyway. But the simple fact is Number 4 is the best iPhone to-date. Let’s see how good that is.Read full review...

Fair build quality, and performance as a phone, but great camera, and apps!

I actually got the 32GB version. The first was the day they were released, and since then I have had 3 replacements. The first two replacements were for malfunctions in the headphone jack and the main button, things that showed a disappointing build quality. The third replacement was my fault, for letting it drop into a pond.

The camera on this phone is amazing, with HD video and HDR still photo capabilities. The photos cannot match an expensive SLR for really large enlargements, but they are amazingly clear and lovely and available from a camera that always is with me.

As good as the camera is, the applications are where this phone really shines. Many are free and almost anything you could want is available, a chromatic tuner, metronome, carpenter's level, bird book, and much much more.

Performance as a telephone is a slight down side. It is puzzling that each new version of the iPhone drops calls a little more than the previous. No phone is perfect, and the iPhone 4 is better than some of the less expensive phones, but if call quality is paramount I think you would do well to consider another phone.

iPhone 4: My dream is now a reality

The iPhone 4 is the ultimate upgrade to the iPhone line.

I've owned each iPhone from day 1 of their launch dates.

(Please also read my reviews of the iPhone 1.0, 3G, & 3Gs)

I've owned a cellphone since 1992. I've always had a "top of the line phone" (I've always had AT&T = formerly Cingular = formerly BellSouth Mobility)

In 17 years having cellphones, I've had over 100 (Yes 100+) different models & makes.

I've also had a few days each with the Palm Pre and Motorola Droid - neither compare to the iPhone 4.

The screen on the new iPhone 4 (also known as the iPhone HD) has to be seen to be believed. One hing that not many people are saying about the iPhone is that the screen seems to be a part of the glass not slightly recessed behind a piece of glass.

Besides the screen that's been compared to a high end laser printer for text, the new iPhone has a new button arrangement that are easier to press and understand their functionality.

The iPhone 4 also has a new antenna that delivers almost twice the performance for cell signal, bluetooth, and wifi. The casing IS the antenna!

The wifi signal has been boosted from 802.11g to 802.11n - greatly extending the range, security, and bandwidth of the signal.

The new camera on the iPhone 4 bumps up from the 2 megapixel on the original iPhone and bumps up from the 3 megapixel on the iPhone 3Gs. (Original and 3G shared the same camera & processor)

I had an original Apple Quicktake camera and it was amazing even though it was below a megapixel - when Apple discontinued cameras in 1998 I longed for the day when they would again create a camera using their expertise. With the iPhone that happened - with the iPhone 4 the perfect camera now exists! A camera that can instantly share a picture or video on the internet, thru email, or save for later. A camera that has ON device editing - even through Photoshop using the Adobe Photoshop app.

The iPhone 4 also adds a front facing camera which allows you to video conference with other iPhone 4 users.

The iPhone 4 also brings a new operating system (to all iPhones) and multiple application use (multitasking) to the 3GS and iPad, and iPhone 4.

The iPhone 4 uses GSM - an international standard technology for cellphones.

The iPhone being reviewed is the unlocked international version that can be used on any GSM network including TMobile in the USA.

Verizon & Sprint use CDMA (& variants) - this technology is found in very few places widespread outside the USA & Europe.

While the iPhone 4 also has better GPS functionality - the Google maps app is decent but not the best - but the best app for GPS certainly got better with the better antenna and the new accelerometer/gyroscope in the iPhone 4 - try Navigon - it ROCKS!

Because an iPhone uses standard iPod sync & charge cables, accessories are easy to find.

Battery life is very good & improved from the previous generations of iPhones; even when utilizing power draining features like Wifi & Bluetooth.

I can actually use the calculator on an iPhone, unlike on other cell phones where you have to figure out corresponding keys.

I have a lot of music nearly 2000 songs and a GPS app that takes up almost a gigabyte, plus nearly 1000 pictures on my iPhone and the 16GB model is perfect for me - leaving me with 4 gigs of space left.

As a side note: I love the calculator app on the iphone!

I now have zero complaints about the iPhone 4. My complaints are relegated to AT&T!

Great for fun on your phone, not an everyday phone though!

bought this iphone as a present. Battery is good if you dont use the internet much, endless amount of apps. using supreme gevey sim with this and so far so good only difference is cant receive mms messages. Also as its from america contact numbers store differently so even if I have a number stored the iphone doesnt recognise it when the person rings/messages. Compared to iphone 3g which i also had it has been updated and ease of use is better.Read full review...

Good phone, decent value, overall worth every penny.

I purchased this phone for my boyfriend. I also have an iPhone 4 and have had no trouble with it since I got it 2 years ago. This phone does live up to it expectations being easy to use and the battery life is great too. One complaint I had was that within 2-3 weeks of getting the phone, the power/lock button got stuck and was inoperable. After paying $50 to have it fixed it was a little better but not the way it should be. Not sure if the previous owner had this problem as well, but it turned out being ok. I did purchase it unlocked to put on a T-Mobile plan and it worked great, no problems connecting it with my current provider or plan.Read full review...

iphone 4

The iPhone 4 is a tremendous improvement over the previous phones from Apple. Battery life alone is enough to sell a brand new notebook, there's no reason the same shouldn't apply for a smartphone. Being able to deliver real world battery life use of between 5.5 and 10 hours on a single charge is quite impressive. And if you aren't using the phone nonstop? Expect even longer battery life.

On top of the battery life improvements Apple finally plays catch up and surpasses the technological advancements in its Android competitors. The 4's camera is as good as it gets today and the screen is a beauty. I don't believe this advantage will last for the lifetime of the iPhone 4. The phones that are in development today at least surpass the 4's specs in terms of raw CPU speed. Given that Apple's retina display is in high volume production already I'd expect other manufacturers to pick it up in due time.

And believe it or not, even if you upgrade to the iPhone 4 today in another 12 months it'll most likely be replaced by a dual core version that you'll want even more.
The lower clocked A4 was most likely a result of wanting to save battery life, a tradeoff I'm willing to accept. The 512MB of RAM was an unexpected surprise, and a giant disappointment to iPad users. The extra memory comes in handy while multitasking, something the iPad won't be able to do until this fall. By then it's probably only a few more months until updated iPad hardware, which will almost certainly feature the same 512MB of RAM as the iPhone 4. It does mean the early iPad adopters got shafted a bit. They got a much lower density screen and less memory than the iPhone 4, despite a higher upfront cost

Value for Money

Why Choose the iPhone 4

Pros
Price - One of the major attractions of the iPhone 4 is its price
FaceTime - As noted above, the iPhone 4 offers support for FaceTime video calls.
Retina Display - Same here; you'll get the beautiful Retina Display screen on the iPhone 4.

Cons

No Siri - You won't be telling your iPhone 4 to do anything (or at least it won't respond to you); the 4 doesn't support Siri.
Lesser camera - While the iPhone 4's 5 megapixel camera, which also records 720p HD video, is good, it's a far cry from the upgraded camera in the 4S or 5.
