Macbooks are not cheap, and the power block is critical.

Having been a Macbook Pro owner since 2011, I have tried a couple of other NON Apple chargers. I would never do that again! Last one cost me a logic board and $$$ repair. Defective LED Indicator Light

The LED on the magnetic tip that indicate if the laptop is charging (orange) or full (green) is dead on arrival. The adapter does charge but it charges a lot slower than the one that came with my MacBook.Read full review...

Unsafe and worked 2 times

Initially I was happy. It worked the first time I used it. The second time I plugged it in sparks flew from the outlet but it still charged my laptop. Third time it doesn't work at all. Bad product.

Appears to be the real thing

There are so many adapters that can cause damage to a MacBook Pro out there. Unfortunately I bought one of these bad power adapters and ended up with a service bill on my Macbook Pro. I have had two of these units and they look exactly like the one I got with the machine. Of course just because it appears the same does not mean it is the same.
