I bought this adaptor to watch movies from several video websites, It worked well since first use, I don't understand those reviewers saying it does not work with the new Apple updates for iPhone, mine is up to date and I haven't experienced any difficulty using it. Nowadays it is easier to play movies on smart tv's or Roku using applications like Chrome-cast, WebTV, etc. but I still find it effortless and straight forward to use this adaptor despite the long cable.Read full review...

I needed a way to stream on my tv without using my phone's mobil hotspot feature - this is the solution. Good concept but poor execution

Upon tv connection, screen display is limited to contents of your phone screen, which isn't much. Although i-phone was fully charged and computer was off with good wifi to tv, movies would simply freeze multiple times requiring phone reboot to continue watching. Became very frustrating, so I'll go back to streaming Neflix via my tv remote, or via dvd player interface, although play time will charge against my computer's 150 Gb/mo download allotment.
