My first Apple product

I like the iPad quite a bit. It feels solid in the hand, like a book. Interface is very nice, once you figure out the gestures.
My only complaint is the lack of external expansion port.

Very sleek and responsive device, You can do almost anything on it

There's no doubt that the iPad still the king of the tablet. Is exellent for make research, light office or collage duties, emails follow up, book reading and games. You always will found an app for anything from games to specillized or prefesional software it almost replace any portable but it depends of the use that you going to to give it for. In the comunication area  its good too, you can make video calls using Apple's face to comunicate to any person using an Apple device time or any tird party software (like Skype or Tango) also you can send text messages by imessage and sincronize your personal email account. I love to read magazines, they are very colorful and all images loooks in hd. If you don' are subscribed to any magazine you have an option like Flipboard that shows you your favorite blogs or magazines webpages in. Magazine style (I love this). Games are fun too because using the touch interface adds more interacation and inmerse gaming, don't spect a 360 or ps3 graphics but some games rendering are close enough. Very comfortable for watching videos, transfered, steaming from youtube or via Netflix (it looks great) I also download some karaoke videos for my home parties!!!  It feels good in hand because its very sleek and feels solid but fragile in the same time, for that reason I recomend to use any kind of cover all depends wich it suits you in my case  have the Defender from Otterbox its kind of bulky but it feels that it going to protect your device specially adding a solid screen cover (I have a child and he loves my iPad for that reason protection is needed) theres a lot good option to protect your device but you decide. The good thing about any IOS device is the big selection of accesories made for them, for home, fitness, kitchen,  office or car solution you always found an accesory.... I highly recomend this device, it will not completly replace your coputer but cover some areas that it does. Apple iPad 2, WiFi...Great to have.

Nice size to watch tv or movies on. iCloud synching is awesome with your iPhone and computer. Toms of apps. The battery life is really good. Very happy with it.

Get it and go.

It grows on you. I looked at the Kindle and iPad 1st generation but ended up purchasing the 'new generation' iPad. I read a lot of material and enjoy having a) all my reading material in one device, and b) although the Kindle display is sharp, having backlit content is nice at night. I know the Kindle does email and maybe calendaring but the iPad it's easy. A big plus: APPS! Plan on wasting lots of time in the App store :)

One downside: if you use iCal on the Mac platform, syncing will get your calendar on the iPad but NOT YOUR TASKS. I still haven't figured out how to have tasks come over to the iPad.

Once you get one it'll be hard to go back to paper magazines and books. My suggestion; buy a 16GB unit and 'try it out' for a few weeks; if it's not your thing you'll be able to sell and recover most of your investment. Mine's not for sale :)Read full review...

Nice condition. Pity how apple doesnt offer anymore updates

Product came in excellent condition.
The problem is that it no longer can be updated past its ios 9.3.
All apps require ios 10 or higher.

Great for older people!

I bought this for a friend who is 84 years old, and needed it for Jehovah's Witnesses website. This is perfect for what she wanted it for. It is easy to use, the sound and picture is very good. I really recommend this older iPad for first time users, especiallty older people. Great for starting out.

Its great for basics and a back up. However, it's so old you can't load Netflix or Hulu. It would be great for kids just starting out or like me a back up when my other one runs out of battery. I have bought several in the past and found that the screens have been in excellent condition. The rest does not matter if you plan on buying a case for it.Read full review...

Awesome product - highly recommend

I absolutely love this iPad! It is lightweight, which is great for me because I have arthritis in my hands. The battery life is amazing! It will last all day - probably 10 hours give or take depending on what you're doing I guess. It's very durable too. I don't understand how so many people break these. It does everything I need whether personal or business. I even have Microsoft office! Yay! I got a tremendous bargain on eBay and it came with super great accessories (zagg invisIshield HD and a case that bends to make it stand. It's completely worth the retail price though. The only thing I can think of that I would like on here is a flash for the camera. The later models may have one, I don't know but it's not a necessity for me. I have a Toshiba Thrive that I like a lot too, but the iPad links to my iPhone and is more convenient!Read full review...
