Great item at a reasonable cost

I never leave my house without my Ipod Classic.
The good: supreme audio quality
The Bad: a bit slower response time then what we're use to along with a short battery life.
Bottom line: The battery in this item usually needs replacing since we are dealing with a decade old product, It is fairly easy to do, the replacement battery can be ordered from different merchants via eBay. also there are many guides on youtube on how to do so and stay alive :)

Brand new, works great, just what I was looking for.

My old iPod is no longer with us (RIP) and, as someone who walks all the time, listening to music on my phone isn't really an option considering my phone needs charged at least once a day. These old video iPods could go weeks without a charge if it had a decent battery (unless I just got lucky with mine).

I bought the iPod classic 5th generation black (30 gb) primarily because of its storage vs. price ratio. 30 gb for $50 isn't bad. It holds my entire library with no problem. It does exactly what an iPod is expected to do. It does not have the capabilities of today's iTouch's, but that was expected.
The only turn off for me was the iPod's battery life. It does not last as long as an iTouch. You have to charge this iPod every night in order to play music during the day, as the battery runs continuously. I keep this iPod in my car with its own car charger, since the battery runs out so often.
However, you can't beat 30 gb for $50. I have a large music library so it was worth the purchase.Read full review...

The item is OK, the only problem is that the battery dies after one hour of use or if left unused...Had to purchase a battery that is on the way. Make sure battery works for longer than an hour.

Apple Ipod Classic 5th generation
