Really handy and easy to use. I rarely go anywhere without it.

Road trip hit. I bought this in anticipation of a long road trip solo with my eight-year-old. I downloaded a handful of apps recommended by friends, a few books, and a few videos. It was a huge hit and helped the road trip go smoothly. I separately purchased a car adapter, which turned out to be crucial on the long drives.

Very easy to use. I was initially daunted--it was the first device I bought that didn't have a separate printed manual, so I had to figure out how to use it to figure out how to use it!--but I got the hang of it quickly.

Handy. I don't have a smartphone--I don't want to pay the monthly fees. I can stick the iPod in my pocket and check email or Facebook when I'm in a wifi hotspot.

More would be nice. If I had it to do over again, I might choose 16GB, but we've managed fine with 8GB. We delete items from time to time to make room for new one.Read full review...

ipod nano 4th generation 8GB

I bought this ipod for its larger capacity, and ability to play videos and such. Overall the ipod looks as amazing in your hands as it does displayed on various advertisements. Not only is the larger capacity great, but some of the other features like the Genius, and video playback, and the tilt/shake features really make this device. However there are some minor flaws i've found. It's really hard to operate the buttons unless you turn it sideways to the coverflow view. Also, it tends to freeze up while trying to watch movies. Good, but save your money and buy the 16gb, unless you want to be limited

I was given the ipod touch 8gb for Christmas. I had wanted one for sometime, as i wanted access to the 500,000 apps available. The thing i didn't like the most about it was the lack of memory. I knew right away i wouldn't be able to download many apps and songs, before filling it up. One of the games i first wanted to download was infinity blade 2. After reading info about the top rated rpg game, it said that it wouldn't work on the 8GB ipod touch. I was sadden by this, but i decided to try anyway. It worked! Load times take about ten seconds, but this game is blast! I do enjoy my 8GB ipod touch, but i don't like having to worrying about downloading a few apps and checking how much space i have left.

Biggest pros, cons.

Pros - 500,000 apps, many for free, or only .99 cents
- slim design, fits anywhere, lightweight
- facetime, texting,email, and more
- wifi connect

Cons - battery could last a little longer
- feels like it might break if dropped or stepped on

4th Gen iPod - what you expect

Bought for my daughter to replace a 3rd gen iPod, so we knew that we were getting same as 3rd gen except with the camera. I could only afford the 8gb & her old one had more (think 16gb) it is surprising how fast you can fill up the 8gb where the older/larger one never came close.

Personally I hate the way apple forces you to put music, pictures, movies on the iPod, it's like inviting some obnoxious teacher from elementary school to handle your mp3 player. I much more prefer an open operating system like an android device or a pc, but lota people want to have their hands held when dealing with technology, so there you go.

It does what it says it does & is sturdy.

i-pod vs mp3 player

The only thing i-pod's turns me off is its requirement of file transfer from the media player to i-tune otherwise, it is exelent. While, there are many other type of MP3 players which allow direct file transfer from the media player in the market, they aren't so bad, either. The reason I chose the i-pod, then ? Well, it's because of the accessary device which sends signal to car stereo radio and charge simultaneously while you listen. I bought it on line and works great however, its USB cable socket won't fit to the other MP3 players, this device works only with i-pod. Another ipod touch

I love all generations of the ipod touch. But I feel like I didn't really have to upgrade to the 4th gen from the 3rd because there is very little difference between them. if you have the 3rd gen, I'd say stick to it because the video and camera features of the 4g are overrated. Rather just buy a digi cam for clearer and more focused videos and pictures.

I Feel Silly Reviewing an iPod Nano 4G, but you asked!

Everybody loves iPod Nanos -- I bought this particular one for my father (was quite happy it was black - I have a 3G and it's pink!). I wanted a 4th or 5th generation because as of the 6th, they are TOO SMALL! The nano is already compact, but really comfortable and easy to hold. Going down in size to basically just the screen I could see for working out or jogging or that type of thing, but I don't like the screen-size only version for everyday. I could see me losing it WAY too easily! And, at 8GB, this iPod held all of my dad's songs. He used to sing and play guitar, and at 77 he can do neither anymore, so I wanted to get his casette-recorded songs into a format that would preserve them better than casettes. It worked beautifully, and he has about 6 gig left for other stuff. I'm very pleased!Read full review...

Warning: Great 6.5GB mp3 player

I bought this product to save my phones batter life, since i listen to music all day. I like this product in that it has excellent battery life and also allows me a chance to read books and play games as i listen to my music. I can even surf the web if i have a wifi spot near by. What i dislike is the clunky interface of Apple's Ipod/Iphone interface. The app store is laggy at best and the lack of app innovation you find in the droid market is sad. Other then that it serves its main purpose in being a great mp3 player.

I pod nano 4th generation

I like how many songs it holds... I like its compact size and love the sound. I wish there was a way of putting a band on it so I could wear it around my neck. My previous one I bought a cover for and it had a tiny hole in it. But this one doesnt have that. I decided to buy it since for some reason my other one which is fine ... when I plug it in my computer the computer says it doesnt know what it is? And I have put songs on it before? So I decided to get a newer version. It had many things that I really dont use since I'm an older person and dont understand a lot of it. Perfect iPod touch as described.

We are very satisfied with this 4th generation 8gb iPod touch. Arrived faster than expected in perfect physical condition (screen was flawless as stated; looked brand new) & perfect working condition. My husband set it up in less than an hour. The only negative thing was that the usb cable that was included with the ipod was very tight-fitting. I had to slightly pry the tiny piece of metal that was bent into the cable's opening to get it to even fit the ipod. This may have just been a fluke. However, it might have been a good idea for the seller to test this before sending. We chose to use our own usb cable instead. The quality of the iPod was so great though that we would buy from this seller again. Excellent product! (Time will tell how long the battery lasts overall. So far, we have had it for about one week & have had no issues with charging or duration of usage on a single charge.)Read full review...
