Worth the price jump
I used this filter to replace a BioPro filter, and I can really notice the difference. For one, this filter is so much easier to prime. The pump is strong enough to draw water all the way into the inlet tubing, which is more than I can say for the BioPro model. This filter came with lots of customisable attachments, so I could alter it to suit the pattern of water flow I wanted. It also came with plenty of media. My only disappointment was that carbon wasn't included in the media. But carbon is cheap and easy to add.Read full review...

Super quite and powerfull
I have had a second hand Aqua one canister filter running for over 10 years but it was starting to get some air entering the system( which I have now found to be a simple part replacement fix). I purchased this brand again because of the previous systems quality. I am very impressed with the new filter. Can't even tell if it working except for seeing the plants swaying from the flow of water, that's how quiet it is. So impressed that i just purchased another larger one for my outdoor water feature/fish pond. Best thing ever purchased for Mum's fish tank. Very easy to set up, extremely quiet, very efficient. Now so much less maintenance than the 2 ugly in tank filters that it replaced, and the water looks so much better. Wish had bought it for her years ago. She is 80 and was struggling to keep the fish tank maintained, now her life is easy again. Testing its limits
I habe a 400lt tank with over 100 cichlids with a high end fluval internal filter. Both of them just keep up although I'm testing the laws of physics with overstocking. Suggest you purchase high end bio media, not the stuff that comes with it but thats ok too for a standard setup. Very quiet and easy to prime. Plenty of connectors to customise configuration.
