An excellent album with broken ties to the past.
In a clear divergence from their past albums (3 Feet High and Rising or De La Soul is Dead), De La Soul attempts to become more mainstream with this album, the alleged first album of a three volume set. This album has several absolutely incredible songs, but also has some middle-of-the-road tunes that are unconvincing. Overall, the album is well-worth the price, particularly if you are a De La Soul fan.Read full review...
