In the game players will take on the role of Rorolina Frixell; or Rorona for short as she is known by everyone in the game. Rorona is an apprentice to the town’s alchemist, Astrid. Things change however as one day Sterkenburg, a knight of Arland, shows up to tell the Alchemy shop that it will need to close its doors unless it cane complete 12 tasks for the King. If that isn’t bad enough, Astrid drops the mess on Rorona’s lap and it is now up to her to save the shop and win over the townspeople.Atelier Rorona can be played in two completely different styles. You can either go through the game and focus most of your energy on Alchemy or you can pick up a weapon and spend your days adventuring. The focus on time in the game makes it very hard to do both on a consistent basis. The story will be affected different ways depending on how you focus your efforts. This provides a good reason for multiple play-throughs as the game gives players multiple endings depending on how they played the game.Atelier Rorona: Alchemist of Arland is a game made for those who enjoy collecting materials and spending hours upon hours synthesizing items, looking for just that perfect mixture. Those looking for deep combat or a deep story should look elsewhere as this game will most likely not hold your attention. Not that the story is not good, however, as it provides a great slice of a tale about friendship and determination. Those hopeful of becoming an apprentice alchemist, this might just be the perfect tool to guide you in that direction. With multiple endings and an easy but deep synthesis system, this game will easily net you 25+ hours without breaking a sweat.Read full review...
Must buy if you love the J-RPG game
This is a must buy for people who has been playing Atelier series or other NIS games. The character design is really great I love the artwork in anime styled all character are really cute and adorable too. The gameplay is J-RPG style with some crafting (Alchemy) element. This game also like other NIS game that can switch the voice between English and original Japanese. The thing I hate about this game is that the strict deadline of each assignment It's can make frustrating at times if you mistakenly spend more time in adventure than crafting then you can miss the deadline and won't be able to complete all assignment in time and that will lead to game over.
Overall Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland is a good game have nice character design, good music and also unique gameplay system, also have high reply value due to multiple ending.Read full review...
Excellent Game, A Must Buy
I have played previous atelier titles but I never been captivated by one like this game. The main character Rorona is very likable character and you'll find yourself being able to relate to a young woman that trying hard to fulfill her dreams despite having a irresponsible boss. I loved how the game mixed rpg turn-based combat with visual novel type events that convey how the story plays out. The game mixes a bit of strategy with the games as well because you have to choose how to spend your time wisely so you can complete different tasks that can affect the ending you will get for the game. I found the game very addicting and it was hard to put down. I feel that its a must own for rpg lovers because sometimes you need a fun game to ease the worries of everyday life.Read full review...

Excellent game, great lovable characters and the alchemy synthesis is very addicting and enjoyable. A worthwhile Game.
A very unique game that is just simply addicting. I could not stop playing, I was not even aware of how the time was just flying by.

I like the cover and never tried a game that focused on alchemy.The graphics life like and the action is amazing.

They dont sell this at gamestop and amazon was to expensive.

This product extremely cheaper than same ones. But it's an asian version and some problems may be with DLC in european or american stores.
