BRIGHT BUT IS IT RELIABLE?
Not perfect. Mine is at the top of my staircase. When I switch ON my stairs light for some reason it activates the light. This shouldn't happen until it is dark. Apart from that it seems ok. I have tried various brands which don't last too long so I will see how long this lasts. It is very bright.Read full review...

Does the job..... but a little temperamental
A little temperamental in it's sensitivity but as we were only using it to light up the hallway shoe cupboard this is not a real problem. Sometimes you have to wave your hand in front to activate. I have bought two other similar lights from other sources and there is an inconsistency in what is required to activate .One is so sensitive it even comes on in the daylight but is at the landing so not a problem. Auraglow Night Light
Bought, essentially, in case grandchildren had to get up during the night. It's proved perfect for the job. It's very bright & stays on long enough. Now use a second in the hall so when returning home late at night, this comes on as soon as a foot is set inside the front door. Just perfect in both cases. Whilst recommending to others, the decision may be on how bright, or not, you would want a light to come on. Bright, sufficiently sensitive and simply perfect for purpose.
I was dubious when buying this lamp as I was doubtful of brightness, range of field for the motion sensor, the non-adjustable glow time (30 seconds) and the sensitivity. However, after receiving it, it is just perfect and my doubts were unfounded.
Placed in my small kitchen (which for some reason has the only light switch on the opposite side of the room), it detects when you walk in from the lounge, lights up sufficiently for me to complete whatever I was going there to do such as make tea, get things from cupboards or fridges - things that require a visit of just a minute or so. The 30 seconds stay-on delay is fine as the light DOESNT go off whilst you are in there due to your continual movement - it just stays on for 30 seconds after you leave (or stand still temporarily). This simply saves from having walk through the dark, turn on the main lights, burn 150 watts of bulb just for a quick 'in and out' visit to the kitchen. And being light-sensitive you dont have to worry about turning it on for the dark evenings and off for the daytime as it only activates once it detects the room is dark enough.
The light is a WARM glow, and actually as bright as you would like (I doubt you would find brighter for this colour) and when lit uses only 3 watts. Although it says 200lumens, to the uninitiated I will tell you its feels about a 25watt bulb output. The angle of motion sensitivity is really very wide (they say 120 degrees) which enables it to turn on even though I am approaching from a side angle to it. My proximity to it upon entry is quite close (about 2 metres) so I cannot really give genuine feedback on how sensitive it is to motion distance wise
I am also intending to get one for the shed (which we have some utility appliances in there) to aid in an identical way. The device would also be perfect for any other room (included its intended purpose of a stairs/hallway).
My only frown is the price. I think £10 is quite high and actually could be less (I would think between £7 to £8 is more reasonable). That said, the Auraglow lights clearly are a genuine product, not some cheaper chinese imitation (also available on Ebay, which are less bright and probably dangerous or ineffective in some way) and given this, and that all outlets sell them for the same price I would HIGHLY recommend it if you are looking for a DARKNESS ACTIVATED PIR MOTION SENSITIVE PLUGIN NIGHTLIGHT.Read full review...

Very bright night light, must be equivalent to a 40w incandescent bulb.
Only illuminates for 90 secs when PIR is activated (ie. it senses heat/movement) so won't stay on from dusk - dawn as most nightlights do. Can't be overridden either which is a shame as it's certainly bright enough to use as low level plug-in indoor lighting. Read full review...
