Actually makes a big difference!
Installed it on my 2012 BMW 328i (F30 N20). Install was easy. I had to cut the boot off the old shift knob. The boot fits nicely up onto the new shift knob, I didn’t even have to glue it. The ZHP shift knob actually made the car shift smoother and gives you more confidence when shifting. I would highly recommend it. i would say that this would be an average product. aesthetically, depending on your taste, this could be considered an upgrade, but it is important to note that this is a very cheaply manufactured replica shift knob. it is very light, especially when compared to a trust grex metal shift knob. that being said, the product feels very good in the hand, and does in fact make for a nice stock replacement knob. The little extra weight makes shifting much easier
Although it is a bit shorter than my stock Sport shift knob, the shifting improved with the extra weight. That alone made the shift knob worth it. I received the packet on Feb 14th, the estimate delivery was on Mar 5th. So I'm happy for short time. I opened the box and see the know a little small. I go fast and remove the old know and compared with the brand New, it looks 1 inch less higher. Anyway, I clean the shif handle and installed the brand new knob... Sorprise !!! It fits perfect, the box show OEM part BMW. The knob looks great and feels firm. I'm very happy with this pursch. Definitely I recommended this people and this part.. Solid shift knob, BMW M style!
I own an older edition of this shift knob that wore out. This one has a more matte color finish on both the black leather and the silver/gray bottom part. However, the inside interface is more solid now. My previous one had a flimsy interface that wore out over time and caused the shifter to rotate (awful!). This newer edition fixes that! The shift knob felt lighter than I was expecting however, it did fit on snug and doesn't move around or make any noises. It feels good while shifting and looks identical to a genuine / ZHP.
