Babies love this!

It may be a simple video to some folks, but my two grandbabies just LOVE this. They are most interested in the songs with the children singing and playing, rather than the animated ones. Baby Genius - Favorite Children's Songs very engaging

I bought this because it was the only DVD my 2 year old would watch when I borrowed it from the library. Once purchased, it remains the only DVD he will watch. Each song is a familiar one and features real children playing and doing different activities, like sliding at a water park, playing with balls and balloons or other games. I see my son trying to immitate their actions, such as skipping, beeping a horn, trying to find his pointer finger and so on. He really laughs when he sees the kids swimming and sliding. He seems to really concentrate on this video and will watch it in it's entirety without even getting up! I feel he is learning how people move and associated words from the songs with actions, which is helpful for developing speach and word association. Not a Hit

I'm hoping this dvd will grow on my daughter. I got it for the children's songs - hoping she would learn them. She loves music, but doesn't stay put to enjoy the whole dvd at this time. I really hope that changes. I bought 3 of these dvds based on the resounding kudos from parents whose children seemed to reject all others for these. That just isn't happening for my child. She loves her Baby Einstein dvds, but these aren't holding her attention like those and the animated dvds do. I'm a little disappointed in my investment.Read full review...

1 year old loves Baby Genius

I have been looking for kids DVDs with tons of music. My 1 year old hates riding in the car. We live in a very rural town and are often in the car for long periods of time. I have tried Barney, Baby Einstein, Tubbies, etc... and nothing gets and keeps his attention except this. This has definitely made our long commutes more peaceful. The songs are great but the characters and movie itself are very simple. That is probably why it can keep his attention. I bought the DVD for my grandson who needs to be entertained 24/7 and this keeps his attention so mommy can do other things. The kids and music keep his attention and he will definately take in the knowledge even though he's only 7 months. Love this DVD!!

I got this DVD for my daughter when she was 8 months old and she has loved it from the beginning. The songs and children in the video are catchy. As an adult, I think the animation is a little corny, but my daughter thinks it's great. She's 13 months now, and still loves to see this video.
