WE LOVE BATMAN BEYOND: AWESOME!

This is strange: We got the entire set (1-3) and I don't know why they only have the first season for us to review but here goes; Season one starts out with Bruce Wayne as an older Batman, who has an encounter with a criminal and he picks up a gun. This incident and the fact he's not as fast as he used to be has sent him into retirement. Then there's Terry Mcginnis, a young, strong willed teenager who meets Bruce Wayne after being chased by the Jokers and the older Wayne helps Terry fight The Jokers off, but Wayne doubles over in pain and Terry helps him inside his mansion so he can take his medicine. Then Terry discovers Bruce's secret. It's so good when Terry breaks in and gets the suit. But the scary part was when Bruce shuts down the suit and Terry says, "Wayne, they're going to kill me!" WOW! This collection has 13 stories with Rebirth Part 1 and Rebirth Part 2, in which young Terry Mcginnis becomes the new Batman and Bruce Wayne gets a new lease on life; he becomes Terry's mentor, his employer, his friend. You get to see Disappearing Inque in Black Out; Golem with poor Wussy Willie; Mr Freeze in Meltdown; Heroes, The Terrific Trio with a dark secret; Shriek - A master of sound wave technology; Dead Man's Hand - The Royal flush Gang; The Winning Edge - A performance enhancing drug based on Bane's venom; Spellbound - Batman fights Spellbinder; More Disappearing Inque; A Touch of Currare - the most feared assassin sent to kill Barbara Gordon's husband; and Ascension, where Derek Powers finally get what's coming to him. Great series, great stories. It's a young, hip, witty series, full of action. We love all three seasons and enjoy watching them over and over. Every DC comic fans should have this series

Batman Beyond is one of my favorite series (despite being underrated), because I like the sci-fi elements. I enjoy the heavy metal music throughout the action scenes, futuristic setting of Neo Gotham City, and voice acting escpecially Will Friedle, who made the schway performance as Terry McGinnis the main character.

It may have been created [by the producers of "Batman: The Animated Series" at the request of Warner Bros.] to attract a new generation of viewers by injecting the dark detective with new, younger blood, but the futuristic "Batman Beyond" (like Batman: TAS) was a show for Batfans of all ages. Ironically, much of Batman Beyond's charm can be attributed to the generation gap between Terry and Bruce as displayed in "Dead Man's Hand" where they clash over their pursuit of the Royal Flush Gang. One of whom (Melanie/Ten) Terry has romantic feelings for and later reluctantly places into police custody. "This sort of thing ever happen to you?," Terry asks. Bruce warmly smiles with "Let me tell you about a woman named Selina Kyle." Great stuff. Batman Beyond was a cool series that featured the phenomenal voice talents of Kevin Conroy (Batman: TAS), Lauren Tom (Superman: TAS), Teri Garr (Mr. Mom), and Sherman Howard (Superboy); first-rate scripts; frenetic action; and one of TV's coolest opening main titles; Not to mention sensational main title and score music by Kristopher Carter.Read full review...

Batman Beyond Season 1 DVD

BB is very entertaining and a worthy successor to the original Batman: The Animated Series. This is the season that starts it all and my edition (purchased through eBay) is perfect. Any fan of Batman must own this.

A great ride!!!

Ok i am a really ok not that much but i really like batman. SO, at the chance of finishing the batman beyond series that i like so much as a kid i jumped on board and what a ride. i loved sesaon 1 and 2 however i didn't really enjoy season 3 as much. i just felt that... well lets just say that there is proabley a reason why there wasn't a season 4. But over all i loved tha anime and would recommed it to any batman fan and yes even three beceause the justice legue 2 part episode was really really good but that is about all. Bruce Wayne is mortal. He ages and gets old . What happens now? Batman Beyond explores this dynamic with a great 1st epidsode with Bruce Waynes last Batman effort ........and than Terry McGinnis surfaces as an apprentice to Bruce wayne . Its a fun action packed series with great animation and storylines. I reccomend it . Beyond the Bat

Well I will keep this review short and sweet. If you love anything about batman then you must own Batman Beyond. There's nothing speacial about this season of Batman but it's so old school that you will enjoy watching it as the first time you watched it.
