If you want radio. (not included)
If you prefer not to wear readers (screen small).
If you like to surf web (browser useless on this)

After owning and repeat buying 9700 for 10 years (used models mainly) I would say the first things to wear are the keyboard, the top standby button. Mainly things that can be replaced. I've never had any probs with motherboard or charging socket personally. Replacements have mainly been because of my fault (cups of tea accidents, loss or experiments gone wrong)

To sum up this is a great phone. I would recommend any 9700 should have OS 6 or later. It makes the phone more refined and gives it the edge. OS 5 is a bit 'nursery'

Excellent Phone... Just not my cup of tea

I bought this phone because my faithful old NOKIA 301 had died on me. Being on the "3" network, I needed a 3G phone & having had bad experiences with Android phones in the past, I went for a Blackberry. The phone arrived on time and was in excellent (and I do mean EXCELLENT) condition. far better than I expected for something described as "Grade C" - there wasn't a mark on it.

Having said all that... I do not need a phone which can also double up as a laptop, mp3 player, TV & Kindle. This is because I already own a laptop, a TV, an mp3 player & a Kindle. I just need a phone to be a phone & this model (and I suspect every other smartphone on the market) was not for me. I used it for a week, but found the keyboard fiddly and awkward to use. And I did not enjoy the pseudo-mouse trackpad thing - too easy to overshoot whatever you;'re trying to click on. It also took several attempts to import my contacts from my SIM card - it would import about 75% of them, then you had to input the rest manually... put the SIM back into the old phone, read the contacts, write them down, then input them manually onto the Blackberry... a hassle.

In the end, I bought another phone - another NOKIA 301, which efficiently gets on with the job of being a phone & nothing else. If you want a smartphone, this is probably going to be a good fit for you. But as I said... not my cup of tea.Read full review...
