Perfect phone

This phone is great for someone who doesn't want all the childish apps of most smartphones but needs more than a basic phone. It is heavy duty, easy to use and type on, and has well designed functions. Forget the I-Phone, go back to the blackberry of your past. Still trying to figure out how to increase the listening volume on phone calls, but Pandora comes thru loud and clear.Read full review...

Great all around, but only CDMA

When I purchased this phone, I was very impressed by all it had to offer. However, the phone was incompatible with my carrier, as the phone was CDMA and my network was GSM. I think this phone is great value for the money, but be careful and check that your carrier isn’t GSM if you want to purchase it.Read full review...

Very limited phone, but texts and calls just great!

I bought this phone because I was spending too much time on my Android smart phone. This blackberry has a very slow web browser, slow camera, poor app store support, and runs Android apps poorly as well. I knew all this before buying this phone.

But navigation still works, I can still check my email, and still communicate with friends and family.

I use Facebook Messenger lite. Installed it from an apk website and it runs okay. I did notice that it drains my battery very quickly when I'm using it, which is a big bummer since I use the app a lot.

What's your style?

BBerry is different-"old school" type format, smaller screen. That aside, encryption and security are excellent. Smaller size makes for easier handling, paired with a headset, very comfortable in driving, walking or at desk. I've used a Blackberry since '05, wouldn't change-have tried others and gave them back..Read full review...

Great product

For this berry the juice is sweet
However I think for a gift or working class phone it's excellent the keypad and on-screen touch is a good combination and the feel ia unparalleled when typing cause you have full screen without sacrificing it to the keyboard and predictive text with the button pressed showing (someone correct me) however this is based on preference for me and it has about a 1lb feel however it's not that heavy, the classic feels sturdy in hand and fit great black berry wipe does take some time so be prepared if your going to do it however the phone has snappy response time smooth flow with screen display and over all will not consume power like full screen phones like the one I'm using for this review lol 4/5 because the camera was not better but the phone it self is superb for starters, intermediate and experts depending on your need and focus.Read full review...

Blackberry Q20 Classic - Great phone without all of the attachments.

First, this is a very sturdy and well-made phone. There hasn't been any issues with this phone that are noticeable. For a person who values privacy and wants to be rid of the out of control tracking and harvesting of personal information by Google and Android, there weren't many options. This phone offers simplicity and basic functions of a phone to do all of the things that you need. I have never had a dropped call on this phone, never had a notification slip through the cracks, no issues whatsoever. For a person who can live without apps, this certainly may be the phone for you to consider. I simply wanted talk and text without any of the Android attachments. This phone is perfect for my needs. The battery life is okay...I fully charge the phone at night, and without any use overnight, the phone is at 92% in the morning. I do not have an issue with that as it does not take long to charge this phone. It is a 4GLTE phone, however may be rendered useless once 5G goes into effect. That won't happen for awhile, though. It may be another way to force the public to the two monopolies (Android and Ios) to buy their phones.. This was a great value, and it fits all of my needs. Very sturdy and easy to use phone. The qwerty keyboard is great with the keys spaced perfectly for use with sometimes clumsy hands. No issues.Read full review...

Great Blackberry! Perfect for all your needs !

This re-furbished black berry, is almost factory perfect!. It has the starting software ready to go, and also has a battery that lasts all day. I don't think I could find a scratch on it. One small little speed bump, I couldn't get the charger that came with it to work with the phone? So I ended up using a old blackberry cord I had laying around. Overall, this was a great buy!Read full review...

The best blackberry ever

I used to carry blackberries as a business phone. I then went to Apple then various Android phones. I can an Android for a work phone now but I missed the straight forward and elegance of the blackberry. From being away from them for years holding one again just feels right. I'm a younger person but something about a classic blackberry just feels right. The keyboard is phenomenal, the size is perfect (and I have larger hands). The battery is better than any smartphone. The signal is extremely strong as well. The clarity and loudness while on a phone call is ledgendary then you throw it in speaker phone and it's loud and still clear. Many smartphones have horrible speaker phone.

It may not do all frills that a modern smartphone will do, but if you text and call or send lots of emails or take lots of notes you'll be in heaven. Plus a new classic is no where near the cost of a new smartphone and it'll last longer as all those smartphone frills require constant updates and tweaks.

The Blackberry Classic: a lot, but too late.

Ordinarily, I would give the Blackberry Classic 5-stars across the board. It's a solid phone with good call quality and good battery life. The Blackberry 10 OS was also extremely good, but...
>I'm giving it the lowest mark for the following reasons. One, Blackberry was staffed by knuckleheads who couldn't see the forest for the trees, and in 2008 they failed to see the impact that a certain product from Apple would have on the cell phone industry; Blackberry's so-called "Iphone-killer" (the Z10) would come out in 2013, five years later. Two, during that five-year period - despite having an extremely good OS - they did next to nothing except put out a failed tablet (the Playbook) - while a little upstart OS called Android was making waves in the space that could have been occupied by BB10. Three, the Blackberry phones that they put out up until 2016 just had to have that one thing on them that a huge swath of consumers were completely and totally rejecting: that stupid keyboard. The result of all this is that the company who really put the smart in the phone, the company who had more than 20% of the world-wide market when the Iphone came out, is barely able to enjoy less than 0.02% in sales by the time they threw in the towel two years ago.

For those thinking of buying and using this phone, Verizon has shut off support and service as of April, 2017; all Blackberrys from the Classic to earlier cannot be activated. I do not know about other carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, etc, so get a hold of them first before you buy. Blackberry World - their version of an app store - will cease to exist at the end of 2019.

At this time, my current BB Classic can pick up streaming radio, the internet, or make a great paperweight when not in use, so all is not lost! :)Read full review...

Missing info on this phone would have made a sale.

I loved the BlackBerry Q20. Only one thing was wrong with it. Verizon does NOT support it on their system. Verizon stopped support of 3G phones and this phone was 3G.
I JUST found out that there is (possibly) a way to make this phone 4g.

Gets the job done

One of the best older BlackBerry devices out there. I was surprised to see one in excellent cosmetic and working condition. Works and looks like it was right out of the box. It’s a great device if you’re looking to use it for work and the occasional web browsing. The main downside is the functionality of the apps. You’ll need to go through the web browser for most apps to work.Read full review...
