Great camera, lovely screen, good performance and all the advantages of the Google services and apps. and the neat sliding physical keyboard! I've owned iPhones, bb10 and other android phones but PRIV is my new all time favorite. The upgrade to marshmallow was nice and made the good battery life even better. Old Priv to new Priv

I had dropped and cracked the screen on my previous Priv. So, this one is a major improvement. The shadow seems to be from the screen protector, which I am glad they included. It darkens the screen a little, that can be overcome by using the brightness level in Settings - Display - Brightness.

Love this phone, but where is BB travel!

Everything you love about Blackberry with a hard keyboard running on an Android platform. The only thing missing is no Blackberry travel yet for Android, you have to use Worldmate(as of AUG 2016) and while its similar to BB travel, its not the same. It doesn't go get the trip info as well and keep it up to date, but I am very new using it. Overall the screen picture is excellent, the sound is great, tho buttons on the side do get in the way a bit when taking it out of the holster I bought, but with practice, I now do fine. My 2.5 year old Priv suddenly stopped charging properly, going from 30hrs on a charge (on a brand new battery) to refusing to charge, in the space of a week. I probably broke something while prising the case open, or levering the old battery out.

Still a Blackberry at heart

I was hesitant to make the transition to the Priv and was hanging on to my Z10 for dear life. After getting frustrated with a number of apps starting to disappear off the Blackberry OS radar, I weighed getting the Priv or *gasp* the iPhone. I ultimately got the Priv and am so glad I did. It is way better than the iPhone and still a Blackberry despite being Droid based. The camera is fantastic and takes beautiful, crisp pictures. I wasn't sure what to expect from a Blackberry with Android, but this phone is pretty solid. Everything works well and the phone is fast. I really like some of the finer touches in the launcher such as the shortcuts, the Hub, and the universal device search. Battery life seems decent, but if I run the screen too bright for too long, it gets eaten up pretty quick. The screen is difficult to see in direct sunlight. If you absolutely need a keyboard phone and don't have much money the Priv can usually get the job done.

Keyboard is harder to type on than it should be. Battery doesn't report runtime accurately. Volume is lower than most other smartphones and UI isn't as refined as the one on the KEY2.
