Nothing but HIGH Quality: BLUE MICROPHONES Yeti Ultimate USB Microphone
Good sound and easy to use but not lite weight; quality made! It sits 24" away from my position and it picks up every word easily and effectively as it types for me when I use Dragon Naturally Speaking, without fail! Crappy, cheap quality build, poorly made microphones/ear phones for me are now a thing of the past! YEA. Great microphone with Premium sound for Starters
The Blue Yeti USB Microphone product has an excellent sound quality. Is not the best in the market, but it sure is an excellent product for it's price. It is a little expensive (if you are running on budget), but you won't regret getting it. The microphone is huge! Is not an ordinary or small microphone. So, you better keep in mind that you need space for it. It is also a heavyweight microphone, but you shouldn't worry about that because it comes with it's very own stand as you may see in the picture. It has four functions for different recording scenarios, which is an excellent feature! If you have a headset, you can plug it directly to the microphone and you may hear yourself exactly how your voice it's been recorded with no delay (this is a plus!). It also comes in a few different colors so it might match your decoration and needs.
Cons
When it comes to buying accessories, everything has to be big (huge). For example: you can buy a regular foam windscreen on ebay for about $1-3, but when it comes to fit the Blue Yeti, it will cost you no less than $9.99 in the best case scenario. At amazon you could find it for around $24. There's only one shock mount for the Blue Yeti and it costs over $45 (this is not really needed, but it is still one of the accessories most people use with these types of microphones).
Therefore, the Blue Yeti it's definitively worth it. You will get what you paid for, which is professional sound quality microphone. Please note that if you don't have any noise where you'll be using the microphone, you don't need any windscreen. However, if there's any noise (small noises are captured through the microphone if it doesn't have a foam windscreen or a pop filter) you WILL WANT to consider buying yourself a foam windscreen or a pop filter when ordering this product.

Plug and play
The Blue Yeti was practically plug and play for me. I'm a novice just getting into the voiceover community; I did some research and felt this mic was the best bang for my buck. I'm still learning how to use all of it's features, but it has been fantastic so far. It is incredibly sensitive; you can plug your headphones into the port under the mic, and hear absolutely everything. You can still listen to other things on your computer while plugged into the mic; I simply hit the mute button on the mic and I can listen to a voiceover tutorial or music, etc. You can still listen with the mute off if you like, but you obviously end up trying to listen to something on the computer over external noise. The mic isn't exactly light, but it doesn't weigh a ton either; it's heavy enough that it isn't going anywhere, and it won't be easily knocked over. I'll be taking the Yeti with me to a voiceover boot camp in June where I hope to learn some tips to use it even more effectively. I will try to come back and update my post.Read full review...
