If you are interested in immigrant stories this is a fine one. Rolvaag was an immigrant from Norway, who eventually became a professor at St. Olaf College in Minnesota. The library there is named for him. His other books tell of the hardships of Norwegians settling in the Dakota Territory.Read full review...
