Music for tea dances, Is Bob slowing down?
This is more diverse in musical styles than "Time Out Of Mind". The first two tracks Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee and Mississippi have that folk/roots feel of post-70s classics. Along with Lonesome Day Blues - an outright blues rocker - and Po' Boy these are my favourite tracks. Summer Days is pure rockabilly. However, on Bye And Bye, Floater and Moonlight, Bob's obviously out to expose the subversive world of the tea-dance band. A style he regretably explores again on "Modern Times".
I'm a Dylan fan and can only recommend this to other Dylan fans. If you are new to his post-70s music I'd recommend in preference "Oh Mercy" or "Time Out Of Mind"Read full review...
love and theft
this is a return to form for the great word smith.
and is well worth adding to the collection of both seasoned and new listeners.

Sir bob's still got it!!
Quality album, not far off his very best stuff. Might just make his top ten. Probably a few tracks too long though.
