Bonanza Town (1951)

It's a great Charles Starrett and Smiley Burenette movie. I bought it to see if J.D.Sumner who joined "The Sunshine Boys" in 1949 might be in this movie, as it was made in 1951. As it turned out, "The Sunshine Boys" were not a part of this movie, so he was not in it. I enjoyed the movie anyway. J.D.Sumner is a great gospel music bass, who used to back up Elvis with his "Stamps" quartet. So far, the only movie I can find that he actually made with Charles Starrett, as a member of "The Sunshine Boys" was "Prairie Roundup", made in 1951. I'm a fan of B Westerns AND gospel music, so I am always looking to find a movie when the two come together.Read full review...
