A Very Interesting Idea, But Maybe No Realistic Way to Do It Well

I'm in the US, but bought one of these through Ebay from all the way in the UK because I was really intrigued about this product, and I was really looking forward to using it in situations where I wanted something more controllable than a jigsaw or small circular saw for making precise cuts.

I even bought a voltage converter so that I could use the UK-style battery charger (needing 230V power) from US 120V AC.

At first, when trying this saw against softer wood and other light materials, all seemed to go well ---- it seemed like I had actually gotten that kind of small and precise cutting saw that I wanted. I was even encouraged enough to buy more NanoBlades for it.

Unfortunately, trouble surfaced the instant I tried it on harder wood or anything more challenging than soft pine. Even brand new NanoBlades don't seem capable for really biting into harder woods ---- the NanoBlade just heats up, and then the wood starts smoking, while the cutting goes very slowly.

Yes, I wanted a saw that could do delicate things, but I want to do delicate things on tougher materials than just soft pieces of wood ---- if I was constantly making models of things out of balsa, then this saw would be perfect.

In the end, I have to give this saw a very big THUMBS-DOWN or just ONE STAR.

I don't know if the idea of making a chainsaw type of saw this small is simply not possible, or if the execution of that effort was not good enough in this case ---- but this is an impractical saw to buy unless you are in a circumstance where you have a lot of soft materials to cut.

In the end, I spent a lot of money to get one of these and to be able to use it in the US, and I wish I hadn't.

Too flimsy for garden work

It has a 6.5cm blade but struggles with branches around 3cm. The blade is far too flimsy for garden work.
