"Wonderful Engineering"

The Boss FBM-1 Bassman stompbox is expertly engineered and designed with the subtlest of details such as "sag" and "cabinet rattle". Yes, it's in there. While a digital model of an analog vacuum tube 4X10" combo amplifier, this unit can only approximate the fabulous Fender Bassman. Boss did a fabulous job of putting into reach a sound/tone of an expensive amplifier that most guitarists can at least get an idea of what a true Fender Bassman sounds like plus there are many, many applications this stompbox can be applied to ie- add sparkle, add a boost, combine with a good gain pedal, etc... Definitely worth owning this pedal even if only used occasionally. Good job Boss US!!

Perfect and true blue!

I had been forced to play through a pa for the last few jams at a society that has monthly jams on the first Wednesday of every month. Not being able to use a Fender amp like I like I bought this to place in line. Holy Hanna! It sounds amazing. I use it for more of a preamp than anything. A signal boost with the tone of the Bassman (I own one of those big Bassman amps). This pedal is amazing and you can overdrive it if you want but, it's a true blue sounding effect. I would highly reccomend it.
Besides, anything BOSS is amazingly great.

Best Fender amp reproduction pedal on the planet!

Love this Fender '59 Bassman pedal, plug you're strat into the "bright" input, and step back in time! Not to mention the clarity, and sparkle that it adds to your clean sound🎸

Great pedal!

Great on guitar and bass, love Boss and Fender, all three of their collaboration pedals are excellent.

Awesome sound

Totally worth the price. I cant say that sounds as the bassman with 1x15 cabinet, but sounds great.

Nice boost or od (semi dirty sounds)

Sounds better than a TS OD to me, with more tone control but gets sloppy with much gain. Nice boost for tube amps. I like the Boss fender deluxe better as it's dirt is more organic to my ears plus has a few more features like pretty good reverb and tap tempo trem.Read full review...
