Boss GT100 Guitar Effects Processor

Should be noted that I had a GT10 for a few years and used it extensively with combo amps. I sold it and then went to pedal boards with individual pedals which I found more flexible and sounded better.
The GT100 is a step up from the GT10 in that it sounds much better. I use it with 2-3 different combo amps and it works well for me. Although editing presets was different from the GT10, I was able to create my main 4 presets with little or no reference to the manual. So, after spending not a lot of time becoming familiar I had my presets created and played my first gig. I like the Roland quality and ruggedness. The dual displays are easy to read and provide a lot of information while editing. I primarily use presets rather than manual selection of effects, so this is an important factor for me. Next, I plan to use it with my Tone King Metropolitan to switch channels. Then, I will try the 4-cable method and see how that works. I can recommend this unit highly after owning the GT10, the Digitech RP1000 and the Zoom G5. All are great units but the GT100 is easier to use and sounds great.

boss gt 100

great for access to multiple effects, easy to transport and set up.this is my third unit as I am never sure if I want just stomp boxes.but you can run this thing with 8 pedal, effects and have 200 pedal boards.boss is known for quality pedals and you get those here and more.ive AB'd it against THE ORIGINAL BOSS PEDALS AND THEY ARE IDENTICAL,this is a great unit for the gigging musician and wont break the bank.also very good for the studio.you just need to spend a little time setting up your own patches and there are many websites that offer custom user patches like glen delaune.look him up on youtube.hes got a great ear and has some great patch packages which you can see what he does in the settings so that's very useful as well.the guitar players swiss army knife.you really cant go wrong for the price.you can pick up a usrd unit starting around 300.id love to have a kemper but I just cant justify the price.hope this was helpful.Read full review...

Yeah!

This is my first digital effects unit. Nothing to say, except this is an incredibly versatile machine with unbelievable flexibility. There are a lot of pre-loaded patches, and you can download patches from great players online, but the really killer feature is that you can program the GT-100 to be whatever you want It to be. It has taken me a few days to get the hang of it, but I now have a several custom patches that really excite me. You can assign the switches and buttons for each patch, really handy for gigging. Plus, the GT-100 supports stereo. Don't think I will miss my old pedal board. Read full review...

Boss GT-100

I read several reviews both good and bad and decided that enough people really liked it. I do, it has very clear sound, is very easy to use, and adjust the sounds to your needs. I recommend really reading the manual because it simply spells out how to use it. Look up Glen DeLaune on youtube he has some very clear videos about using it. I use it for studio work and you can get great sounding guitar patches that are bright enough to stand out if you adjust them to what you are looking for. Plus look up Boss Tone Central, a place to get artist patches, Glen DeLaune has some really good patches also. Read full review...

Great Pedal

Well I guess if you're reading this then you have already compared the Gt100 to the line 6 models. Haven't used the HD500 but had a pod prior which was good but didn't compare to the gt100. This pedal is a game changer with all the patches available and updates. It is somewhat difficult to get running on the patches but check out you tube. I love this pedal!Read full review...

good recommendation for ease of use!

new in the box, and works like nothing I've seen for all the amps and pedal effects you need in a very orderly fashion. easy to set your preferences after you start to see the results. manual could have some improvements made possibly.Read full review...

Best Rock Guitar Effects Processor Ever, Absolutely, Without Any Doubt

The Boss GT-100 is easily the "Best Rock Guitar Effects Processsor Ever, Absolutely, Without Any Doubt".

Plug the GT-100 into your guitar amp, with that amp set with zero gain & with zero bass, middle, or treble. In short, plug the GT-100 into a completely clean amp. All of your effects & tone come from the GT-100. I suspect that you could plug directly into a clean PA channel & have your monitor give you your guitar effects & tone. You will probably have to adjust the 'System Global EQ' to fit each different amp or PA system. However, this is quick & easy to do, & you don't have to worry about dragging around a heavy amp. In short, for probably the first time since the beginning of rock, your amp is not part of your guitar tone chain. Praise be !! :)

The GT-100 is absolutely brilliant. If you play rock guitar, spend the $400 on the GT-100; You will never again have to buy any guitar effects.
