Sweet feeling when the two lights kiss!

I pluck hard, so it takes a second for the harmonics to settle down, but then it is fast and accurate. Sweet feeling when the two lights kiss! I have only used it a few times, so I am going to do the obvious and learn to pluck lighter when tuning. The key signature letters are bold and easy to read, but my tired old eyes have trouble with the flat & Sharp symbols. Packaging and action is standard Boss excellence. I had to laugh at the "Is it enjoyable?" question. Yes, we just live to tune up the old axe!Read full review...

Tuner works great for what I needed at my workplace

I bought this to tune my guitar at my workplace and to replace an old TU-12 that stopped working. I know that clip-on's are what most people use these days and they cost less (I use one for my ukulele), but I didn't want to bother putting one on then taking it off every time I took the guitar out of its bag or put it back in. My amp and pedals are under a desk and the bright LED's make it easy to read plus with the tuner on, no sound comes out of the amp which is a bonus feature that the clip on's can't match. I power the pedal with a 9v power adapter so I don't have to worry about the batteries dying when I'm trying to tune my guitar. I also like the fact that the TU-3 works similar to my TU-16 in that I don't have to press a button each time I want to tune a different string it auto recognizes which string I am tuningRead full review...

Durable and reliable in your effects chain

I bought this because I wanted a more durable tuner that I can rely on in my effects chain so I won't have to unplug to tune. I have a Sabine STX-1100 which cost about 40-50 bucks but that is plastic and doesn't have a footswitch. Plus, if it got accidentally stepped on it would break. So I bought a Beringer TU-300 which is also plastic but is a stompbox configuration for about $25. It worked pretty well for a while in my chain but eventually after about a year the wall outlet power adapter socket wore and would intermittently lose contact which would cause popping and unreliable operation of my whole effects chain. So, I used it for a while out of the loop and now it seems to have a hard time even picking up the guitar signal. That said, I then needed a higher end more durable tuner and I have several Boss pedals, so this was an obvious choice. Digitech Hardwire was another consideration, but I went with Boss since the Boss TU series has been a benchmark for quite some time. The Accutune feature is a nice touch to give you a little more confidence that you are tuned properly and your note will ring true for more than just a small fraction of a second. It is very bright and easy to read. I also think it looks better than the Digitech, although Digitech pedals, which I also have several of, do feel more beefy and heavy compared to Boss pedals. I really don't use a lot of the different modes that this has, so I can't comment on that. I only use the wall adapter as I've found batteries drain fast in most pedals. The pedal is also very quiet when engaging and disengaging the foot switch for muted tuning. Although $100 bucks is a good chunk of change, it is worth it to have accurate, reliable tuning ready at the push of a footswitch. I wish I added it to my setup earlier to be honest.Read full review...

Same GREAT Boss quality

I bought the older version of this fine tuner over 30 years ago and it just started to give me some issues regarding the analog V/U meters. Not bad for over 30 years of use. This new version has all the excellent features of my older version and some new added features such as a beep sound when your tuning is spot on. Boss knew not to remove any features which was smart. I love this tuner and highly recommend it. Read full review...

The last tuner pedal you'll ever have to buy

I bought the pedal at the urging of my friend and bandmate. I'd been wanting one for awhile and decided to risk my wife's wrath and do it. It's very easy to use, and I like the half-step-increment tune up/down option. The only thing I don't like is getting to the battery, but I'm also getting a daisy-chain power cord, so that won't be a problem (I kept leaving it plugged in, which will drain yer batteries quick). It also tends to pick up other strings (it'll flash back and forth between the one you want and another string) but I just helf my hand on the other five while I picked the one I wanted. I had a Fender pedal (two of them, really) and neither one held up very well; my buddy's pedal has been going strong for a good long while (at least five years, possibly longer). I paid a little less for the Fender pedals, but it makes no sense to keep buying a cheap one when you can just spend a little more and have it a lot longer. I am very satisfied with it and hopefully will not have to buy another one for a long time. I highly recommend it. Buy some for friends (Christmas and birthdays!!).Read full review...

This is the one you want for your Boss pedal rig.

This is a great tuner. It's accurate and easy to use, and doesn't affect tone. The read out is easy to see, and doesn't bounce around too much like some tuners do. The bonus of having it as a power supply is also terrific. My rig consists mainly of Boss pedals, so I thought I would give this a try. It is the perfect addition to my board. Read full review...

good tuner well built #sharp light should be bigger

Great Boss quality, seems to be solid as usual, easy to use, probably has some features I won't use but glad they are there. My only complaint is that the # sharp led is TINY ... actually fairly hard to see compared to all the other lights on the pedal... if that light was double the size or even triple it would be in a good proportion. Otherwise it is good and hope it lasts as long as my TU-12Read full review...

Should have bought one a long time ago.....

This tuner is easy to use and handy too carry around...... I'm a Bass player,,, and my most commonly used rig
has a tuner built in.. But some times if I just sit in or am at a practice , I'm using the house rig . Having a
pedal tuner with a mute is pretty handy........Boss has this pedal tuner set up pretty sweet......

I highly recommend this tuner ,,, I wish I would have broke down and bought one a long time ago.....

Best Tuner pedal ever!

It's super simple and fun to use! It's really necessary when you're talking about playing live. It helps a lot and it looks pretty cool for being just a tuner! I totally recomend it and the price is super affordable.Read full review...

IMO best tuner on the market. You want be disappointed.

Makes tuning fast and easy. Very accurate tuning. Has optional tuning displays as well as improved lighting which makes it visible in any setting. Includes power output so that you can power other pedals via a daisy chain without using other outputs from your power supply. Also has great buffer in order to boost your signal through your pedal board and to your amp without losing overall tone.Read full review...
