Super Helpful Game

It gets you thinking and gets your mind active. If you keep at it you really do get sharper and the game gets more interesting as you unlock more stuff. I like the various fetures of the game that make it both easy and fun to use and allow you to stay challenged. It is also cool that it keeps a record of your scores and days you have played. It allows you to keep track of your progress and improvement. It is also really cool that it has one or two actual "game" games to play to keep you relaxed. The brain twisters are both fun and challenging. Some are hard but others are easy depending on your strong points. Over all it is a pretty interesting game that you can play for a few minutes or for as long as you want. I bought it to sharpen my mind and I am happy to say that it has done just that. It is a good game so if you want it and have the money you may very well find yourself pleased with it as well.Read full review...

Good game for a low price!

Brain Age 2's subtitle tells you almost everything you need to know about Nintendo's new mind-flexing sequel. It's "more training in minutes a day." The structure and presentation of Brain Age 2 is functionally identical to the previous game, but this time around, you'll see different training minigames. This means it's perfect for people who played the first game and are looking for more.

The games in Brain Age 2 are more advanced than the previous game, which had you doing basic math problems half the time. Now, those math problems have twists, such as one game where you continually add numbers, but one number is removed from the screen after a second or so, which forces you to use your memory to remember numbers and solve the problem. Another puts the keys of a piano on the touch screen and has you follow along with some sheet music to play a tune. Another has voices say two or three words at the same time, and you need to pick apart the garbled speech then write down the words you hear. All in all, the different games are satisfyingly different from what was in the first game and make for a solid companion piece.

Good for honing skills!

I love the different games it gives you in a scattered way, so you can't just play all of them the first day you get it and then be done with it. I love that Sudoku is always available, and that I can train with the games at any time. Your scores are recorded once a day, however, so when you do them for the training part, make sure you've practiced! I did and my scores leapt and I've only had the game for about a week!

It's great for skills that you don't think about using, but you DO use. I've always had problems with mathematics, but the Change Maker game is actually HELPING me work through the issues.

Believe it or not, this game would be great for those summer months when kids are out of school - it'll help them keep at least the bottom line basics so they aren't completely at a loss when school starts again!

--Recommended for older audiences and younger audiences. ( Teens have a tendency to divide and conquer .. and that's not what the game is about! )

Brain Age 2...not quite as good as Brain Age 1

If you never played the first one, this one has a tutorial that helps you get started. What's really cool is it tells you what part of your brain is being sharpened, and explains what that part of the brain does.It also gives you tips on how to get better scores. As you do more activities on more than one day you unlock other areas of the game like a relaxation and unwinding game. I do not like holding the game console on it's side to play the game. And sometimes it misunderstands what you write for an answer so you get it wrong and get a bad score if you don't write exactly how the game wants you to. But that just made me work harder on having better writing skills. Other than those two things about the game I really love it. It is fun for me and my family to compare our scores because you can save multiple names and games on it. You can even have the game make a graph showing the different scores of all the players on the game to compare how you rank among each other. I really love that you have to work at completeing the game in order to have access to all of the games on it, certain parts must be done correctly in order for you to proceed to the next new game.Read full review...

Brain Age 2 for Nintendo DS Lite

The game itself is explained very well. You have a tutorial that helps you learn how to play as you go along. It also gives you tips on how to get better scores. As you do more activities on more than one day you unlock other areas of the game like a relaxation and unwinding game. It also explains what part of the brain you are working on, and what that part of the brain does, and other at home activities you can do to improve that part of the brain. I do not like holding the game console on it's side to play the game. And sometimes it misunderstands what you write for an answer so you get it wrong and get a bad score if you don't write exactly how the game wants you to. But that just made me work harder on having better writting skills. Other than those two things about the game I really love it. It is fun for me andmy daughters to compare our scores because you can save multiple names and games on it. You can even have the game make a graph showing the different scores of all the players on the game to compare how you rank among each other. I really love that you have to work at completeing the game in order to have access to all of the games on it, certain parts must be done correctly in order for you to proceed to the next new game. It is very interesting.Read full review...

Easy to use... fun and better than the 1st!

I bought the Brain Age 2 almost 2 months ago, and i do like it... i like how it is able to be used for left or right handed people, i am left handed so i like that feature in particular b/c not many games do that. I like how it is precise in what it wants you to do in each game. I also like how it graphs your progress and shows how you are improving each day! I DISLIKE how you have to have a certain amount of stamps to unlock the next game! But the games I have played are fun. They are entertaining and do help improve MY brain i do believe! So overall if you want a game thats fun, easy to use, and helps make your brain smarter this is THE game to get!!Read full review...

Brain Age 2: Very fun, slightly frustrating

I love cerebral puzzle games. My best friends loves cerebral puzzle games. We love Brain Age for its creative ways of making you use your brain. The directions before each game are very clear and make for easy gameplay. However, the games that utilize the microphone seem to fall short a bit. I'm unsure if it has to do with the microphone on the DS Lite (mine is brand new, though!) or the game, but it never seems to understand me when I say "scissors" in the Rock, Paper, Scissors game. It's a little frustrating, but doesn't detract too much from the rest of the game. Overall, very worth it!Read full review...

Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day (NDS)

Brain Age 2 is a fun game that allows you to keep your mind going. As an adult, I get a lot of enjoyment playing the various mini games that it has. The game also contains Sudoku, which to me has always been very addictive. One of the main reasons why I didn't give it an excellent rating is not all games are open once you start. The more days you play, the more mini games open, so at the beginning there is not a lot of variety. Other than that, it is another great game by Nintendo that all fans will enjoy.Read full review...

Brain Age 2 Nintendo DS

I have really enjoyed both of the Brain Age games. Brain Age 2 is really neat because of the different styles of Brain exercises/games that you can do. I must admit though that some of them are kind of annoying. The games where you have to speak into the microphone are sometimes hard to play. Sometimes it will not pick up your answer as correctly stated. But all and all I have enjoyed and still do enjoy these games and would recommend them to anyone. I really enjoy playing the Sudoku that is included in this game as well. The plus to this game is that my family (being a family of five) can all have our own data files on this game. Check it out!Read full review...

Great game for a mental reality check

I got my game 3-11-09. Boy oh boy was I in for a surprise. This game tests your brain skills in memory concentration, simple math skills and sudoku. When I first played it and got my brain age as 80 I was very OMG! (LMAO). But hopefully with regular play I will get better at this and learn to use my brain more to help me maintain or reinforce skills that tend to go away as you mentally age. It is a good game and I highly recommend it as per research states that doing games to work out your brain actually helps lessen your chances for getting things such as alzheimers disease.Read full review...
