My second smart toaster

This is my second smart toaster, the first one lasted a good few years (more than 5) so I bought another one. For some strange reason modern toasters are expensive and (according to online reviews) usually rubbish. This one is expensive but it works very well and the long slot form factor is very versatile for toasting different types of bread, muffins, hot cross buns, crumpets it all works well. The only comment I have is that the heat setting goes all the way to 5 but I rarely go over 2 and never more than 3. Fortunately unlike some toasters the control is infinitely variable so you can still find the perfect spot at 1.75. The toasting is even and the overrides for frozen and crumpets work well, although I have no idea what the fruit bread setting is supposed to do!Read full review...

Disappointing

Avoid. Just returned my second one. First one lasted roughly nine months and the second only two months before failing. It’s a shame because it’s a really stylish, solid and easy to clean unit.
