A burning tribute to the late great Buddy Rich

I bought this CD when it was released umpteen years ago. Neil Peart put together a spectacular ensemble of drummers in this tribute to the best drummer ever-Buddy Rich. The recording is top notch; and the music is about as good as it gets for big band jazz. Bombastic drumming from the rock drummers, musicality from the jazz drummers, all work together to put forth my favorite Big Band CD. A must have for drummers and percussionists. With a great rendition of "Pick up the Pieces" to end the CD that'll leave you wanting more. If you're on the fence about this CD....buy it.... You can thank me later.Read full review...

This CD lived up to its reviews with master drumming by all involved. The sound quality is excellent. Is one of my favourites.

Burning For Buddy CD

Any dance drummer, or anyone interested in the traditional trap set, would find this CD awesome. The best modern day drummers playing tribute tunes to the Greatest Drummer of All Time: Buddy Rich. I have been a prisoner of the instrument for over 50 years...and to me, this CD is an education...not simply entertainment. This CD shows guys like me what is possible! Great music with an outstanding cast !!

If your a fan of Big Band Music or would like to check it out for the first time then this CD is for you. Neil Peart of Rush fame gets together with drummers from rock and jazz along with some great big band players in a great tribute to Buddy Rich. I highly recommend this CD. Excellent CD! Also service was superb

I bought this as i am a rush fan and Neil Peart plays one of the tracks. each track is excellent and a fitting tribute to Buddy Rich. The CD was sealed and in mint condition.
