Porsche 911 Buyer's Guide

I found this to be filled with common sense information on the year to year and model to model differences for all the Porsche 911's. If your looking for the right car to buy it's sometimes difficult to sift through the sales pitches and what some good intending friends or technicians have to say. So if you are looking for some solid factual information and specifications, I found this book to be worth the investment.

It's informative, easy reading book that provides vehicle specifications, historical data, production information, color photo of 911 models from 1965 through 2001. This year to year guide will help you to choose the year and model that is best for you. It also point out each model's strengths and weaknesses. This is essential information for any new or experienced owner.

good book

Good book, However, it stops with the year 2001 analysis. Also, I've learned in further reading (other material) that the earlier Porsche models for instance (1999-2008) had a serious issue, called IMS bearing failure. Which was very rare, but, killed the engine dead, unless caught in time and replaced with a newer better bearing. And 06-08 model years had to have the engine removed to correct bearing issue, rather than earlier models just having tranny removed.
Up to the earlier years a good book. I learned a lot.
