Perfect for any anxious mommy to be!

I am such a worrier, and having the reassurance of this doppler gives me such peace of mind! I love hearing my little baby's heart beat! Don't get discouraged if you don't hear it right away, I had to watch some YouTube videos, and read some tips on how to find it, but once you find it, it's no problem! I love being able to check on baby whenever I want, and not have to worry the month in between my appointments! It's such a relief, and I will recommend it to all my friends and family!! Great product but.....Could be dangerous in the wrong hands

I have a history of early pregnancy loss (I'm a G4P0) and I've never heart a heartbeat before until this pregnancy. Hearing our baby's heartbeat on US at 6.4 was the best feeling and I knew I wanted to be able to hear it as often as I wanted. I purchased this Doppler and received it at 8 weeks and immediately got to work trying to hear anything and hoping that I would be one of the people on the reviews who heard it at 8 weeks....but I wasn't. I've held off on writing this until today because I finally heard it for the first time using the Doppler last night at 9.3 beating away at 175bpm.

Some background, I'm an RN and I know beyond a doubt that a fetal heart rate should be almost impossible to count because it's so fast. I'm not denying that people heard heartbeats at 8 weeks using this Doppler. I heard beats that sounded really fast at 8 weeks too. The display, however, is not right. I know that I wasn't hearing baby because I counted the bpm and although it sounded super fast I was only hearing myself.

This is an amazing tool and I'm so happy I bought it. But someone who didn't know the normal rate for fetal heart tones could lull themselves into a false sense of security. If you buy this, please remember that it is for entertainment purposes only. Only your doctor or an US can tell you if your baby is ok. You may not hear the heartbeat every time you use it. It still took me 15 min to find it for the first time last night.

Good luck ladies.

Works well, but rechargeable batteries are a problem

Works well for a simple device. Shuts off within a few seconds if no regular pulse is detected. The display is upside down from what you would expect so you bend your hand toward you to read. Using rechargeable batteries can be a problem however. The Ikea LADDA or Eneloop AAA batteries have a very small tip that does not make full contact with the battery terminal. Alkalines have a larger contact area that works properly.Read full review...

Great Listening Device

This is a great fetal Doppler for the price! It was easy to find my baby's heartbeat at 16weeks with this device. Moms should be aware that the heart rate # output is NOT reliable and should not be counted on for an accurate measurement of the baby's heart rate. But it perfect for listening as long as you can separate your own heartbeat from the baby's. Other than that, this is a great reassurance for any mom to be able to hear her baby's heartbeat between doctor visits! :)Read full review...

Overpriced

I paid more cause I wanted it before an auction ended, only worth at best $6.00. Works great, shuts off to conserve battery power, nice case and lanyard. Does give different reading on each finger, sometimes in wide ranges. Overall nice gadget to have on hand.Read full review...

Works Well, Fast But Slightly Low Reading

It works well, and came with batteries. But it does seem to read slightly low. My O2 is fine, but usually reads about 94, and my wife's reads about 92. We are fine.

I bought another brand, and it reads higher -- about 97 or 98 for me. So, I think this one is a bit low. Still, it works great, and gives a faster reading than the other brand.Read full review...

Great type oximeter!

I much prefer this type of oximeter over the ones that do not have the graph showing how your heart rate is doing. I frequently have a regular heart rate but the strength of it can vary widely from one beat to the next. I also have my left ventricle wants to fibrillate. The graph is MUCH more informative than having only a number showing your heart rate. If you have heart problems as I do, then I recommend this type with the graph over the 'graphless' ones. You still have the heart rate number, but the graph is a big plus.Read full review...

Amazing product

It's the same Doppler my doctor use at my visits at the hospital. Once I find my baby's heartbeat I can hear it loud and clear. I'm 19 weeks and have been us in it for about two weeks now my doctor said its completely safe. Batteries and gel was included. So pleased with this. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.Read full review...
