CSN CD collection

Four disk collection of "best" of CSN is about 1/2 what I expected. Many pieces are re-recorded from the truly mega-popular releases that were iconic (and hence old-shoe comfortable) in their time. As an acoustic group that means the character or arrangement of some pieces are wholly new/different and weird to my 'original equipment" ears. Technical recording quality is great (as was not the case with some of their old stuff) but too many pieces sound like the guys just had to try it a little different for another round in the recording studio. Perhaps great for aficionados who want every single note CSN(&Y) ever recorded, but a disappointment to me. Every reviewer probably knew this 17 years ago when the complication came out, but I didn't do that homework before buying. Oh, well, maybe I'll sell it again after I load it in iTunes and one-star much of it.Read full review...
