Brilliant coffee machine descaler
Tried vinegar and another brand of descaler and made no difference to the flow through the steaming wand. Gave Caffetto Restore a go after reading some other reviews and the steaming wand is now texturing the milk to perfection. Also did a good job of clearing scale in the extraction thermoblock. Citric acid
Organic can mean ‘made from lactic acid made from milk lactose’
or it can mean citric acid. I’ve seen warnings not to use vinegar which is acetic acid which is also an organic acid.
Citric acid can be found in lemons so presumably if you need an emergency cleaner you could use lemon juice (?)
Anyway buying this product seems to be cheaper per cleaning-cycle than buying sachets. It should last you for years IMHO. Read full review...
