Older but proven technology

I'm getting some excellent pictures with this lens, my first Prime. I was so impressed I also got the 100mm Macro Prime too. It's not as heavy as I thought. I used to hunt years ago, and this lens and camera weigh less than most rifles. Autofocus/Image Stabilization (2 settings)/Tack Sharp. I'd like the newer model but for now this will do nicely.

Bargain price compared to new, well worth it if on a budget.

Not used it much, just in the back yard and still getting used to it. First thing it is HEAVY! seriously this should come with a tripod, your wrist will hurt after a few minutes without support. Good think I have a tripod and mono-pod stand to make this easier to use.

Easy to get use to the push/pull zoom, auto and manual focus works great and nice and stable, can't wait to take this on my next holiday or day trip. That said it son't replace my 18-270mm lens I'll use as my prime lens.

Good value for the money.

Pictures are clear, autofocus is sharp and fairly rapid. Lens is well built, as is expected from Canon.

Quality Lens, Condition as Advertised

Excellent for getting better bird and other wildlife pictures at a distance or high up in trees. Had some very minor cosmetic issues but nothing beyond what was advertised.

This is a marvelous gift! So lucky to own it. Great features!

I am so sorry not to provide feedback on my purchase. I have been out of commission for about a week and a half so didn't have a chance to use it. Then my camera mirror got stuck on a piece of a lens (that wasn't yours). The lens is marvelous. Now I need a carbon fiber tripod that works with it so it isn't shaky or can fall forward because of the weight. You are a wonderful seller. VickiRead full review...

Canon 100-400 V II f4.5-5.6 zoom lens

Fast focusing, 3 OIS options, rotating zoom control (large improvement over the past push-pull ), and tack sharp make this my favorite birding lens.

Canon 100 x 400 mk1

Great lens making a big difference to my photography, the tightening ring is a little slow tightening up so the lens does extend if facing downward.

100-400L Cannon L series 100-400

Nothing compares to the image quality of the “L” series lenses from canon. Think of them as an investment. Care for them and they will last a lifetime. Learn to explore they’re capabilities and limits and your photos will be astounding. There is no replacement for “good glass”.Read full review...
