A very solid build camera, much loved, durable and it can be still purchased as new units through retail/online outlets while retaining the value on the 2nd market very well.

Canon EOS 5D MkIII - A step up in sensor size, a leap up in performance

Having just upgraded from an EOS 50D I was concerned about the increased weight - pleasantly surprised to find it feels solid and substantial without being heavy.

And the SPEED of focussing (vital for sports and small active children) is breathtaking!

The quality of the images at high ISO has me amazed - again, being able to take sports photos indoors at high speed has just opened a new door for me.

The other thing I love is the reassuring sense of stability when I use the camera - it simply feels solid yes responsive.
